Look here look at this world

As the child curls against the mother who cries

For the father who dies in war to defend

Both from their end so future could continue on

But the next dawn the cycle continues on

But look now at this world

As the child curls and cries on her own shoulder

Hoping to be older so she can escape ther life

With parents a beaten wife and a father who would have been better

If the girl he loved forever hadn't left him for a nicer looking boy

Whose virginity he destroyed at that hotel on a one night stay

Oh how that father prays his sad daughter won't catch on

And become a pawn of the cycle that continues on

Are there any other songs besides these blues

I want to start anew and break the way

Things are today so our children don't have to know

How to grow in a world of false love and war

To be thugs and whores only fit

To let those fates knit our same old song and story

Of a world without glory let's write an end to this cycle an end to this story

Wow

Fookin' Brill!

I love it, this is one of the best Poems I have read all week. Absolutely amazing.

Aye indeed there is, but it's up to your heart to beat in time with the pulse of humanity as to allow your creativity to sing such a contemporary Poetic melody for the rest of us.

So, I'll be waiting fer that. hehe

Gorgeous verse, truly.

Take care sorrowful one.

....

I really appreciate the message behind this poem. There really is a cycle of despair in generations of families.
