The Mañana Wanted! Dead or Alive

It was a bright evening as the Mañana sailed onto Ireland. Everyone was lazily lounging around waiting for the wind to pick up. Ayafre and Jane sat together on an empty food crate, while Yasac sat sleepily nearby, against the mast. Revloc lay on the deck on his back while Chives sat on some stairs cleaning his rifle. Scarlet had resigned herself to her quarters until the wind picked up. Revloc stared up to the clouds admiring the many shapes. He then led his gaze to the magnificent golden setting sun. He then rolled on his belly and sat up straight. Jane began to chat quietly with Ayafre, while Yasac dozed off. Revloc whipped out one of the pistols at his side.

He was quite relieved when Ayafre discovered the captain who had taken Revloc prisoner, was carrying Revloc's prized pair of weapons. Revloc fiddled with it playing around like a small child with a toy.

"That's certainly a unique find Trigger." Jane said coolly.

The pistol was fashioned as if it were many pistols fused together but more compact, with ten holes, for ten shots. It had a mechanism in the center to distribute powder and within this mechanism was a rotating hammer that would change barrels every time one pulled the single trigger.

Revloc smiled and pulled a second one from his side.

"Hehe I know, Yasac gave me em said they suited me just fine. He said if I can shoot down twenty empty bottles of rum in under ten seconds he would let me keep em. I shot down nineteen."

"What happened to the last shot?" Ayafre inquired

"The last one was for the end of Yasac's boot; one of the bottles was half full."

Yasac opened one eye already focused in at Revloc.

"Half empty, and you have no idea how many wet socks I have had from that hole." Yasac mumbled still tired.

Revloc and Jane chuckled.

"So you and Revloc traveled a lot together?" Ayafre inquired to Yasac.

"You could say that, when I was captain of the Spanish navy, Revloc was one of my crew members. Along with a few of my cousins, Ettan, Tradon, Kanarf. And of course a full crew of about fifty more good men." Yasac explains.

"So what was it like as a Spanish captain?" Jane asks.

"Well pretty boring, but... I kept the ship busy. We sailed off to other places, when patrols were uneventful. I wasn't exactly the most loyal Spaniard. None of us were... I don't think many of us were Spaniards." Yasac told now a bit more awake.

"Wait, you aren't from Spain? So where are you from?" Ayafre questions.

"Uh, I'm from many places, my family mostly lived on a ship since my father had to journey to so many places." Yasac said quickly trading glances with Revloc.

"So where is your father from?" Jane spouted.

"Uh...I," Yasac started

"And what's your family like?" Ayafre interrupted.

"Well...I would rather..." Yasac started

"Hey Yasac could you help me move some stuff in the cargo hold, it's kinda important, don't want stuff fallin around." Revloc interrupted

"Oh sure thing Trigger, maybe later you two." Yasac said immediately.

Yasac and Revloc then bounded down the steps to the cargo hold.

"A bit secretive isn't he?" Jane stated.

          "Yeah..." Ayafre murmured.

Below the deck Revloc and Yasac stroll past the cargo hold and into Revloc's room.

          "You alright?" Revloc inquired.

"Yeah I'll live." Yasac answered quietly.

"You goona do what you do every time people start askin questions?" Revloc asked as he peeked out the doorway to see if anyone is around. Yasac looked at Revloc not sure what he was hinting at.

"You know, leave. I remember those days, running from Yakuza ninjas while trying to hold down your position in the Spanish fleet.

"No not yet, I'm at least goona wait till I got some money and some kind of idea where to look next."

Revloc nodded and left Yasac. Yasac slowly stared up to the ceiling till he was bending over backwards. Yasac then let his body fall back and hit the floor. Yasac sighed and took off his glasses and let them rest on his chest. Yasac rubbed his eyes slowly with both hands. Yasac then reached into his coat. He pulled out his pistol and examined it like some old relic. It was an odd thing for him to carry in comparison to his grand swords which he kept looking good as new. Dark thoughts filled Yasac's head, old memories and pains. Yasac closed his eyes and tried to silence the thoughts. It was no use, Yasac opened his eyes. Upon seeing the pistol in his hands jerked as if it was a live beast about to pounce on him. The pistol dropped to the floor and Yasac scuttled back breathing hard. Yasac gulped hard and regained his senses. Yasac pushed himself onto his haunches and quickly scooped the pistol up and shoved it into its pocket in his coat. Yasac then examined the floor and squinted searching for his glasses that had fallen off his chest. Yasac then spotted them and picked them up with one hand. Yasac felt his eyes itch violently without them. Yasac stared hard at the spectacles, worn dented and dirty. The screws were rusted and loose, barely keeping the lenses in the frame. Yasac rubbed his eyes with his left hand, and then slid his glasses back on. Yasac then immediately closed his eyes and slid his fingers behind the lenses to rub his eyes again. Yasac then heaved a sigh and left the room. Yasac noticed his hands were quite wet, but thought nothing of it. Even though the cabin was dry.

An hour or so later the wind picked up and the crew are back at work with Scarlet at the helm once again. Yasac practiced with a majestic Middle Eastern looking curved saber on the deck behind Scarlet, discussing their next course.

Yasac twisted and flipped the blade all around, slow but powerfully. He jumped up and suddenly sliced the air lightning fast with over six swings before landing. He gave the saber another flip and breathed deep, barely fatigued from the flurry of blows.

"While as impressive as that is, is it really necessary to do that behind me? Much less while I'm trying to ask you a question?" Scarlet stated.

"I suppose it's not necessary, but I told you I just don't know where we could get more willing crew other than the Caribbean," Yasac answered.

"Arg, we would need a good amount of supplies for a journey like that, not to mention a bigger crew, especially if we, all too possibly run into trouble on the way...

Yasac slid the sword into its sheath clipped horizontally to the back of Yasac's belt under his cloak.

"Well that's as far as I can figure for now." Yasac replied with a sigh

"Wait! Yasac what about your old crew from the Spanish navy."

"Them? Well they aren't exactly loyal now...um I am an alleged traitor to the Spanish navy."

"True, but they were your crew! Some of them must have known you were framed, there must be at least one you could call on."

"No! The only loyal ones were members of my family on board that ship!"

Scarlet was startled by Yasac's sudden hostility.

"Oh...I see touched a nerve there huh? Sorry..." Scarlet apologized quietly

Yasac just stood with his back turned to Scarlet, staring off in the distance at the golden sunset.

"You...mentioned your family? They were part of your crew?" Scarlet said cautiously.

"Oh well...just a few of my cousins most of them distant cousins, one was even adopted. And I lost contact with them after I was thrown out of the Navy." Yasac said slowly. Scarlet nodded with a sullen look on her face. She then looked ahead and spotted the harbor of Wexford in the distance.

"Ahh, look, land ho eh?" Scarlet said softly.

"Ireland, if you ever wanted to find a hardier group of people south of Scandinavia, it's the Celts of the British isles. Of course, of all the peoples of these isles, Ireland is the drunkest by far." Yasac remarked.

          "It's perfect!" Scarlet shouted.

The Mañana sailed into Wexford, Ireland that night. The moon was new and the town quite loud, as the crew tied the ship at the pier. Scarlet surveyed the town from the dock; Chives strode up behind her, eager to protect her.

"So Chives whatcha thinkin?" Scarlet inquired

"Ireland is a pretty good place to recruit, but that also means it's more dangerous, I got your back." Chives murmured.

"What do you think of ole Yasac?"

"Him? He's trouble."

"The good kind?"

"Hard to say." Chives said with a grunt as he walks back to the ship.

Scarlet took Ayafre Jane and Yasac to the nearest pub to recruit, while Revloc and Chives stayed behind to watch the ship.

They proudly entered the bar to a great line a heavy drinkers and tipsy women. Scarlet takes a deep breath to speak loudly. When Yasac suddenly covered her mouth and drags her to the nearest table. Scarlet struggled and cursed as Ayafre and Jane gathered around unsure who to assist

"Ok ok just sit and listen" Yasac explained as he slowly released Scarlet.

"Good Geoffrey blast it Yasac! What in Jackson's name are you doin!" Scarlet shouted

"Alright alright I'm sorry. Ayafre, Jane have a seat already" Yasac stated as he motioned the two a pair of chairs.

"Yasac what's the problem?" Jane asked agitated

"Ok well first of all, shouting in the middle of a bar to recruit pirates, just isn't how you do it!" Yasac explained

"Yeah it is!" Scarlet, Jane and Ayafre exclaimed at once.

Yasac leaned back, not realizing he had no supporters.

"Well fine then, just hear me out..." Yasac trailed off

          "Yes?" Scarlet stated

Yasac took a gulp forgetting what he wanted to say.

"Ok look, something just doesn't feel right. Call it instinct ok?" Yasac tried to explain.

"Yasac...are you feeling alright?" Ayafre asked concerned.

          "Yes...no...well...maybe." Yasac stammered

"What are you, paranoid?" Jane asked trying to understand.

"Yes! That's the word, but I'm right." Yasac shouted

The three girls all look at each other confused.

"You think its Ale?" Scarlet whispered to the other two.

"No he's just insane, I would know if he's drunk" Jane answered

          "Well...I don't think." Ayafre started.

"No not ale then, oh its American opium, I hear it's not as strong as the oriental stuff but it trips you like a cut hamstring." Scarlet suggested

"What?!"  Jane and Ayafre exclaimed together.

"Oh, well that's what me uncle told me, I've never done it." Scarlet whispered her explanation.

"Let's just mark him down as unstable, ok?" Ayafre said trying to end the suspicions.

The three girls all turned back to Yasac who was patiently waiting in his seat trying not to eavesdrop.

"Ok Yasac...what's the matter." Ayafre asked cautiously.

"Look, what I'm trying to say is that we need to be subtle about this. Let's just spread out and look for interesting looking fellows instead of having them come to us," Yasac explained.

"This...this is your recommendation then?" Scarlet said slowly

          "Absolutely" Yasac responded

"Well...you were a captain longer than me. Alright we'll do it your way Yasac. Everyone split up and look for some lovely candidates, be back at this inn in two hours." Scarlet stated defeated.

Yasac walked the streets exploring the town, the night's sky was hard to see through the town lighting, but Yasac appreciated each star he spotted.

"Ahh night, ever calming and cool to the spirit. I never can spot enough of it." Yasac whispered to himself.

He passed a lively bar and peered inside through a small window. A fight between several men was ensuring inside, with many of the drunken patrons taking no mind.

"A crew huh...maybe we were better off just shouting about for some. I guess it's relatable to these fellows. But...the larger the crew the higher the chances...the greater the risk...control...the difficulty." Yasac rambled on to himself

"Talk to yourself that much all the time and people might really think you are insane." Ayafre said

Yasac spun around surprised, to see Ayafre standing not far behind him. Ayafre beamed a smile and joins him by the window.

"The subtle way huh? Do you think everything, or nothing through?" Ayafre inquired as she surveys the bar fight inside.

"I think everything, sometimes only halfway through."

Ayafre pondered the riddle for a moment unsure what to reply.

"I don't know really...large crouds, loud places, I guess subtle is the key word when explaining me." Yasac tried to explain. "I dunno it's just different for me now, as a captain I could just be solitary and shout off orders and that would be it for human contact."

"So...you're some kind of recluse?" Ayafre asked trying to understand.

"Maybe...it's different on different days...nights. Yes...I would be a strange one, and I've had my share of incidents, I guess you could call tonight's incident just a result of my experiences."

"I guess that makes...some sense. You just have learned that being subtle is best?" Ayafre said trying to reason.

"Uh...yeah, that works." Yasac responded with a faint smile.

"Well enough wasting time, let's try and find some mates before the night is too late." Ayafre spouted encouragingly.

Yasac nodded and the two walked the street looking for a less rowdy pub. They passed a few blocks and find most of the bars closing.

"Oh, we're already late people are closing up already." Yasac stated as he watched a man lock bar door from the inside.

"Well let's try to get something done, let's talk to that barkeeper over there." Ayafre said as she tugs Yasac with her. They walk up to a man in the process of locking up his pub doors.

"Excuse me are you pretty knowledgeable about the town?" Ayafre asked sweetly

"Well I have lived here most of my life, what can I do for you and your husband" The man responds with a deep Irish accent.

Yasac immediately choked and coughed in surprise of the husband comment.

"Oh...no no, he's just my...body guard." Ayafre quickly corrected.

"Oh ho, my mistake." The man responded with a laugh.

"Well I was wondering what...uh well, what." Ayafre trails off.

"The madam is interesting in the availability of mercenaries and pirates in the area. Of which she can barely speak of without shame. Hers is a proud family and she is an ambassador this town for future trading. So we would like any and all information of the level of dangers pirates represent here and the availibity of mercenaries to counter said dangers." Yasac swiftly stated with the utmost properness of a noble.

"Oh, my apologies miss; I twas not keen enough to look beyond your...commoner's disguise. But by my knowledge, pirates around here are pretty low, we don't have much of a garrison, but the English navy keeps the big ones away. As for mercs, we got plenty; a good number of them are regulars here. Although most are in hire by the local militia. It keeps crime to a minimum."

"Thank you very much for your time sir." Ayafre said with a delayed curtsie

Yasac and Ayafre continued walking down the street.

"Ah ha! I knew we would have better luck in the Caribbean." Yasac stated

"Why the Caribbean?" Ayafre asked

"Well as much as I prefer Europe to that dreadfully hot and dirty place. Most ruffians in the Americas ain't part of some bigger pay check yet."

"Did you see Portugal? I don't remember this ruffian getting any duties from any militia." Ayafre pointed out

"Well, thieves may be a different story and your right Portugal is an exception, but...eh never mind I'm getting off topic."

"No! No, never mind, what?"

"Oh well, there is the underground coalition, its infamous around the Mediterranean. It has no name and no leader. Only gold for blood, and blood for gold." Yasac explained

"You're being cryptic again..." Ayafre moaned.

"Am I? Well being cryptic is the only way to explain the nameless crime organization of Europe. Besides..." Yasac paused but continues walking.

"Yasac?" Ayafre asked confused.

"We're being shadowed." Yasac whispered so softly Ayafre had to lip-read most of what he said.

Ayafre looked at Yasac still not understanding. When suddenly Ayafre tripped and fell forward. Yasac spun around and saw someone walking towards them not trying to hide at all.

"Oh my miss, what a fall. You should be more careful." A woman said as she helped Ayafre up.

"Thank you..." Ayafre murmured and glances with confused look at Yasac.

"Lovely couple you two make, course this is kinda a rough town for a honeymoon aye?"  The woman said with a slight chuckle.

Yasac gets red in face and doesn't speak. The woman smiled and shook her head back, tossing her pale white bangs back with the dark brown hair that far outnumbered her random streaks of pale hairs that hung from the woman's head. Her dark brown eyes sparkled in the midst of her well tanned skin, like a pair topaz in the sand, reflecting the last rays of a sunset. She wore brown rugged leather pants that reached almost to the ground, covering similar looking rugged leather boots. She had on a low cut thin leather jacket with almost too big of sleeves that extended far over her wrist, covering over a dirty white tunic whose sleeves were even longer than the jacket. The end of the tunic sleeves wrapped around Sally's hand showing only her fingers and the meat of her thumb which extended out of a hole cut just for the thumb. On her thumb and first two fingers on each hand, were strange, thick, dirty looking stone rings.

"Eh, not really the right conclusion there miss...uh" Ayafre started

"Sally, Streak Hair Sally. And of course you two have nothing to do with each other, I was only teasing. I mean why else would a dangerous looking man and a devious girl being walking around town during the dead of night. Unless ye be in a spot of trouble?" Sally chuckled again

And Yasac knitted his eyebrows unsure what Sally was really saying.

"So, your name is Sally...and what is it that you do?"

"Not important hun, all you two need to know is that you should be getting back to your ship as soon as possible. Let's just say this town isn't going to be very friendly in the morning. Go back to the inn and round up the rest of your little friends and get out of here before it's too late."

"Excuse me? What are trying to say?" Ayafre inquired

"Oh! Well I mean exactly what I say, so you just do what I say, kay? Ta ta chow and things." The woman blew Ayafre a kiss and jogs off back into the dark.

"Odd, I wonder if..." Yasac started but notices something on the ground. Yasac reached down and picked up a large dirty poster rolled up.

"Did she drop this?" Yasac asked

Without waiting for an answer Yasac opened it up and pushed his glasses up. After looking it over Yasac gritted his teeth.

          "What is it?" Ayafre asked.

Ayafre grabbed it from Yasac's hands and looks it over herself.

"So much for being subtle..." Yasac murmured

Ayafre read the poster and gasped.

"Wanted, Stolen Spanish ship, Captain and crew dead or alive. Wanted for theft and crimes against the Spanish Government, piracy of civilian goods. Assault, theft, and criminal affiliation among other crimes against the Portages' crown. Bounty issued on all heads of crew. Bonus for Captain and one former Captain Yasac of the Spanish Navy." Ayafre whispered in surprise.

"I don't see how we could have been recognized yet, but whoever that woman was she was right. We can't stay here."

"What if it was a trap? She looked pretty suspicious."

"Yes...but we don't have any choice. I'd rather deal with a few bounty hunters than a whole town of mercenary backed militia. Come on which way was it back to the inn, we have to leave tonight."

Scarlet looked over the wanted poster with grim frown.

"Blast it! And not a single crewman more still. We're being locked out of all of Europe." Scarlet sighs depressively. Scarlet sits down on the bed in the Inn room. She the other five crew members crammed into the room.

Chives clasps Scarlet's shoulder reverently

"Well for right now we need to get back to sea. Revloc and I luckily restocked the ship with supplies while we were about." Chives said as encouragingly as he could.

"But where do we go? The Spanish no doubt have the pillars blocked so we can't get to the Mediterranean. And we must of pissed off the locals around the British Isles if they got wanted posters out this far."

Chives looked at the floor and paces around.

"Nassau we sail for Nassau," Yasac announced.

"Nassau? The Bahamas? Caribbean?" Ayafre asked

"We'll never make it over the ocean with only five; Yasac please now isn't the time to be a fool."

"My ship can. The rigging is different than any other ship; the sails and rigging are easy, needing only one or two per sail. It's that over abundance of pulleys; the shipwright who made it was nearly obsessed with them. When I first beheld our ship, he told me that it was ship fastest he had ever known, needs only a small crew. Our Mañana can make the journey Scarlet."

Scarlet looked long and hard at Yasac.

"Wait if the ship didn't need a big crew why didn't you tell us earlier?" Jane questioned

"Well, five is still below the minimum but...I also don't like to work so hard." Yasac said with a candid smile

"I'm going to murder you while you sleep Yasac," Scarlet growled

"But alright! We've wasted enough time. To the ship lads, we sail for the Caribbean," Scarlet shouted.

The crew quietly exited the inn. Ayafre noticed the inn keeper fast asleep behind his large desk. She carefully looked over the items on the desk. She spots a small black coin purse.

"We didn't stay the whole night anyway..." Ayafre whispered to herself as she snatched the purse from the desk without a sound and briskly exited the inn and caught up with the other four.

After a few minutes of walking Yasac noticed the moon was behind the clouds and the town was strangely silent.

"It's late but, this is still a port town...hmm" Yasac quietly mumbled to himself

"Something the matter Mr. Yasac?" Scarlet asked.

Yasac shook his head and mumbled something incoherent.

"Golly Yasac, do you ever stop? Quit being so paranoid." Jane scolded and pushed the slow moving Yasac forward. Yasac stumbled into Revloc, who in turn falls forward but catches himself. A small purse falls from Revloc's pocket spilling coins all over the street. Jane gasped and covers her mouth obviously embarrassed at the scene she just made.

"Oh! I'm sorry Trigger! Oops." Jane quickly helped Revloc retrieve his money.

"It's ok I'm fine." Yasac stated sarcastically

Ayafre chuckled at Jane's obvious bias towards Revloc's good looks. Chives sighed.

"You idiots waste so much time." Chives grunted

Suddenly Yasac stood up, his face stern.

          "Yasac?" Scarlet inquired slowly.

Yasac listened intently to the surroundings. No one moves, as Yasac gave of the feeling that he was very serious.

"Heh, maybe I am paranoid...but I swear something is off tonight," Yasac whispered.

All the sudden Yasac hears a loud shuffling on a roof nearby. Yasac reached for his saber. Something jumps on One-Eyed Chives throwing him hard to the ground. Yasac spun around, his saber almost fully unsheathed, but Yasac froze in place. This enemy, quick as lightning rushed at Jane and had wrapped its arms around Jane's neck with a pistol to her head, with another arm balanced on Jane's shoulder sticking a pistol to Revloc's forehead, who also froze with his hand twitching above his own pistol. The dim lighting hid the stranger's face as she spoke in a muffled tone.

"You will come with me now or your fair lass n lad here will have lead for brains, I'm collecting yer bounties."

But before anyone could do anything Chives reached for the stranger's legs and tugged hard and then grabbed the stranger from behind on the ground. The two wrestle each other violently with no clear winner. The others stood and watched as the two fought waiting for a chance to help. The Stranger's face was covered by a black mask and had long hair tied in a tail on the back of her head. Soon the fight became a reach for the guns. Revloc and Scarlet quickly grab the stranger's weapons from the ground. The stranger cursed and jabbed Chives in the face. Chives returned a jab much more powerful, as it threw off the stranger's mask. At this, the two froze. They sat poised to strike but they both gasped and crawled backwards.

"One eye? Fishing?"

Chives choked and gasped, his face turning beet red.

The two fighters stood up staring at each other in astonishment. Not sure what to do and very confused, no one moves.

"Wait...that's the girl from before." Ayafre recognized her as the woman who dropped the poster.

The woman quickly eyed Ayafre and looked back at Chives.

"I...I thought you were dead Chives." The woman stated.

Chives was speechless. He tried to mutter something but, he appeared embarrassed and only got angry.

"I...uh, me dead? Shouldn't you be back at the farm cooking bread and cleaning ?"

"Chives is this your wife?" Revloc asked with a snicker.

"Bloody Hell NO!" Chives and Stranger exclaimed in unison.

"Stop being a chuckle-headed fool Trigger!" Chives shouted.

"How can any way mistake couples like that bah!" the woman scolds viciously.

At this Yasac quickly scratches his nose and pushed his glasses up wanting to say something, remembering the lady's comments from before.

"Uh...children, could we have an explanation?" Scarlet asked sweetly.

"Huh...I guess you at least found a boss with a brain Chivesie boy." The stranger stated mockingly.

"You shut it Sally!" Chives said fuming from the whole incident.

"Chives, Chives, never had an acceptable temper did ya? Funny story, that uno eye is my brother."

"Ooo, spot on Captain!" Ayafre said playfully.

"Sally...eh, I dunno uh...what the hell are you doing here!" Chives roared

"Still no introduction? Sorry everyone, my name is Streak Hair Sally, and for you information my dear brother, I became a bounty hunter." Sally informed.

"Very nice to meet you." Revloc said, quickly taking Sally's hand and bends down to kiss it. Chives grabbed Revloc's neck without a word and tightens

"Are we understood?" Chives growled pulling Revloc's face to his own, letting his putrid breath fill Revloc's nostrils till he began to cry.

Revloc gives a thumbs-up and Chives released him.

"Bounty hunting huh? So what do...?" Jane started.

"Oh shoot good thinking kid. Sorry to rush us, but we have to go...now." Sally said quickly

"Huh?" Scarlet grunted confused

"Ok ok, sorry about the trying to bounty you all but, we can talk about that later. Sorry but your ship is probably being swarmed with the other bounty hunters as we speak. So let's break some legs! Kay?" Sally stated.

"Wait others?" Yasac inquired.

"Yup, see you all were flagged pretty much as soon as you landed. So it didn't take long for the locals to chomp at their bone. I set up this ambush to get the bounty to myself but since that's water under the bridge, down the river and out to the ocean. We really should get a move on. Explanations later, alright?" With that Sally bursted off down the street.

Scarlet shrugged and ran after her. In turn the rest of the crew follow suit.

"So Miss Sally, so just how many bounty hunters are we thinking?"

Yasac catches up with Sally and Scarlet and listen in to their conversation.

"If we're lucky...probably about thirty," Sally answered.

"Thirty!" Scarlet exclaimed.

"Oh that's not so bad Scarlet...that's like five for each of us!"

"Yasac!" Scarlet shouted, clearly not believing him.

A little later the crew snuck up to the shore. There was a large camp of bounty hunters posted on the sands in front of the pier that the Manana was docked at.

"So...what we have in store?" Ayafre asked Sally as the crew gathered behind a line of boxes.

"Well...lucky for us they have around thirty outside of the ship like I had estimated. But, funny story... I may or may not have planted explosives around your ship, in case you all got away from my first ambush." Sally chuckled.

"May not have?" Jane asked confused

"Well by the looks of things those mercs found some of my explosives and they probably think I planted them for a double cross on them, trust me alcohol does wondrous things to these people." Sally explained

"So what do we do?" Ayafre inquired.

"I...don't know." Sally confessed.

"Bloody chick, let's just charge em!" Chives said impatiently.

"I have to agree with Chives actually. I don't think they would will be expecting much of a fight. Sally how armed do you think they are?" Yasac stated.

"Oh! Sally, I don't think you have met Yasac; there's a reason we call him Crazy Armed Yasac. If those chaps dun have too many guns Yasac can take em! Right?" Ayafre says enthusiastically

"Eh...thirty on one isn't very fun even for me...I'm not invincible..." Yasac chuckled.

"Yes... you are..." Ayafre whispered to herself.

"Wait...Sally, you said explosives...do you still play with those bloody demon eggs?" Chives asked chastising

Sally grinned

"Oh big brother...you just gave me an excellent idea."

After a few minutes of planning the six hop over the crates and boldly stride over to the bounty hunters. The bounty hunters quickly assemble upon seeing them.

"It's me boys...whatcha do with my bombs?"

"Streak Haired Sally? I was wondering what you were up too. Did you think you could just blow us to bits and make off with the money, is this the crew?" Said one of the larger men from the group of bounty hunters.

"My bombs I said." Sally repeated herself.

"Right here...I know you, you got more on ya. Don't try anything tricky, we'll just say you misplaced em and split the bounty, sound good pretty puppet?" The man pats a crate full of odd metal trinkets with fuses sticking out of each. Sally removes a pack from her back.

          "You know me to well...princock"

"Don't be like that, ya wench."

"Fine, ya want this? Take it..." Sally puts one hand in the pack and snaps her fingers and then immediately tosses it at the crate of bombs.

          "The whole thing!" Chives exclaimed.

"Break!" The leader of the militia shouted.

The pack explodes and in turn ignites the crate of explosives as well creating an even bigger explosion. Dust and sand is thrown all over in the moonless night making everything thing pitch black save some hazy bombs going off here and there. Yasac rushed threw the blackness hoping he was running the right way. He felt the wood under his feet seem less stable. Yasac slowed down trying to feel his way around. After a minute of groping around the dust settles a little and Yasac quickly boarded the Manana, to find Scarlet and Sally had made it.

"Good Yasac you're here. Jane isn't far behind you. Get on that rigging with Sally we need to go now!" Scarlet ordered

Yasac obeyed and eventually Chives and Jane both board as well.

"Jane! Head count! Who we missing?" Scarlet ordered as she spun the wheel anticipating the winds. Bloody hurry and drop those sails Chives!" Scarlet shouted

"We're missing Revloc and Ayafre." Jane quickly ran back to the dock and guides a dizzied looking Revloc to the ship "Only Ayafre now!" Jane restated.

Now the dust had settled and what was left of the militia charged at the Mañana, along with the town authorities who undoubtedly notices the giant explosion at the docks.

"We don't got time! I'm cutting the ropes, Yasac cover me there're about to board us!" Chives yelled

Yasac whipped out his sabers and leaps onto the dock and spars several of the oncoming enemies.

The Mañana's sails let down and the Manana began to sail out of the harbor.

"Yasac! Any sign of Ayafre?" Scarlet shouted to Yasac who was preparing to jump back on the ship. Yasac shoved a pile of crates over, slowing the enemy advances and quickly scanned the area.

"There! In the water throw her a rope!" Sally shouted from atop the rigging.

Yasac quickly leapt back onto the leaving Mañana , and Revloc tossed a rope to a most angry looking Ayafre. Revloc and Jane pulled Ayafre back on board and the Mañana swiftly sailed away. Sally looked out towards Wexford from the helm beside Scarlet.

"I kinda liked bounty hunting..." Sally murmured.

"Would you perchance be considering a different line of work?" Scarlet offered.

"Line of work, hmm I never stopped to think about just what it was you all did," Sally stated.

"Well, it's hard to say until we get a full crew but, quite possibly piracy," Scarlet explained.

"Fine then...as long as Chives don't get on me nerves too much, I'll join," Sally said with a crafty smile.

          "Fabulous!" Scarlet cried.

ENCORE!

Wow. All of the happy feelings of my life came back to me... unfortunately reality comes back when I'm not in the story. You should know honestly, you are a very powerful writer. Don't ever let your writing fall by the wayside. I do believe this is my favorite chapter so far. :)

Criticizm... I hope god doesn't strike me down, but I figure you might appreciate some balance. The paragraph that begins... "Revloc nods and leaves Yasac. Yasac slowly stared up to the ceiling..." you began several sentances with Yasac... It could be switched up. But I really had to look for something to add here.
