It was a time of great uncertainty; it was always a time of uncertainty. Even today what we think we know about time is very little as we rely on records so easily manipulated. Records possibly lost or more often kept secret by greedy kings who wished not to have their legacy of power stained. So begins a tale to span the globe as in this time every single culture has begun to meet. From Japan to South Africa to New England, trading becomes very important and powerful. With this slow mixing of culture brought new forms of power and technology. Humans can only perceive so much, but the mind is near limitless. Throughout history, what we have thought we knew has always been shattered time and time again. It is truly possible that in the "modern era" we have reached so far? We did not live in the times before us and mistakes, arrogance, ignorance and uncertainty plague every human, it is inescapable. These problems are in every other piece of life why it that we cannot be wrong? We call it the information age but do we know what life is? Outside of our all too convenient cages of thought, thinking we are the highest humans have gone. Beware, question all that people claim to know, almost nothing is sound. But I digress, as I said it is a time of great advances in technology. Each power sees the world in its whole, and up for grabs. And only the most advances and powerful a person can claim it. So inventers push the limits behind closed doors for to be creators of raw power can be a very deadly business. What is magic soon becomes a science. It is a time of legends and myths as growing power awakens the ancient powers.
But throughout history some things have not changed, even a single being could change the course of history even if unintentional and for the most simplest of reasons. Copyright 2008 Jonathan |
