Laughter Is Something We All Need |

Share it:      *** “The Mississippi River is the longest river in North America. The flowing waters at one point meet with the Missouri,” the stern never laughing teacher said. You could tell he saw Tom goofing off. He asked Tom to repeat what he had said. Now as you should know Tom is not the sharpest tool in the shed and rarely listens to the teacher. His response was, “You said that the Mississippi R-r-river is made of flowing water…” The class began to laugh so loudly the teacher covered his ears and shouted at the top of his lungs, “Be quiet! ALL of you!” The class stopped. They stared at Tom then at the teacher. The most peculiar thing happened at that moment. A broad smile appeared on the teachers stern face. Then the strangest thing happened that shocked the kids more than anything. The stern fun-hating teacher started to giggle then to laugh as loud as all of the kids together. Tears rolled down the teachers face then he fell over, red, from the laughter. *** What I believe makes this funny is a student was suspended for writing “Tom is stupid” on all of the boys bathroom wall.
