I was completely distraught. I had come so far and worked so hard. I sat down and looked up. I was something. It was a little note. I reached up and got it. It was coded. On the back was the code. After a few minutes I figured it out. The note said, “Go to the top of the mountain and dig two feet down.” I was so happy there was still a chance the machine was still here.
As I climbed to the top of the mountain I looked down and saw the beautiful, untouched, and serene island. I looked up and saw I was almost there. When I reached the top I started to dig like a dog. Then after an hour my hand hit something hard. I pulled it up. It looked like the machine. There was a note on it. I felt my heart sink. I read the note. It said, “You found my invention son. Please aim this towards the sky and hit the green button. The ozone will be restored.”
I was filled with joy. I pointed the machine up and hit the green button. Nothing happened though. Was it broken? Did I do something wrong? I looked under it and the two main wires were broken. I was no engineer. I couldn’t fix a remote control truck if there were large print instructions in front of me.
I faced a new problem now.
