Intro: Power of Greed
Hell on Earth, that’s what it was. Chaos was everywhere and greed was our down fall. People blamed the sun and said that it’s time had come but, I know the truth. I was there. I could have stopped it, but I didn’t now the world is to suffer at the cost of greed. One man did this, one man’s greed drove him, and one man could have stopped this. Alexander Marsh was his name. His greed drove him to control the power of the sun even at the world’s cost but, he was a brilliant man I hate to admit. For before any of his plans started he came up with the “Sun filters” powerful machines that could set up a field of protect from the sun’s rays like a back up ozone. He had them placed around all corners of the world. They were set to go off the minute the “Apollo’s tamer” he called it went out of control. On March 21 the “Tamer” had an over load problem causing a fire to start. The fire caused the “Tamer” to send a signal for the sun to destroy its self and moments later the world hared a sound. Every person at that moment stopped to look at the sky. It was on fire. The sun burned though the ozone quickly. Lucky for us the filters kicked in and saved us. But, Alex under estimated the sun’s force and rays started to heat the Earth I remember that day. New York was falling to the ground I rushed in to save Alex in a falling building. He told me he could stop this he talk of a machine he built and had hidden on an off shore island. He said it could restart the sun. I told him he was mad to try and tame the sun again. But, he said it was our last resort. Moments later the roof above him fell killing him. I knew one thing and one thing only. To find that machine and the island. I soon learned that in two weeks the filters would fell and the back up ozone would die. I had only two weeks to find that machine and save this world or should I say bring back the world it was. Who am I? You want to know? I’ll tell you. I am our last resort. Copyright 2008 Genaro Garcia |
