The zombie clerk was coming after Mikayla's car way too fast. Mikayla knew that if she tried to back up and run over, the zombie could get inside the Chevy.

"Go to hell, **** face." Mikayla murmured, stomping on the gas pedal.

The Chevy flew off down the road. She wasn't going home. No, because she knew that her parents probably were fighting off the those thing right now...

Mikayla shoved that thought out of her mind. It was too horrid to think about. So she drove off, down the road. After a few miles, the zombie clerk had given up the chase and moved on to a mother and her child. Mikayla looked away as the screams of the mother and daughter rang out.

Author's Note:

I know this chapter is really short, but I had a whole other idea about Mikayla not making it and getting eaten by the zombie clerk. But I didn't do that because if I did it would ruin all the upcoming chapters. So while I was writing this, I just winged it, so it was, as you can see, very short. But I hope you still like it anyway!
