5. Skiing. You're at the top of the biggest mountain you've ever skied down. Right now your breathing in the crisp air, every breath contains the slightest hint of alpine. You look down to see a white, shimmering ocean before you. It's smooth and perfect: waiting to be broken. One last deep breath sends you foreword and you're instantly gliding down the white carpet spread before you. All you can hear is the slight crunch of the snow beneath your long, orange skis.

This is the life, no worry other than making sure your feet stay positioned and you keep long, steady strokes. Now you are one-third of the way down the hill, enjoying every moment of this nature ride. Suddenly, you feel a low rumble beneath you. At first you think nothing of it until it gets stronger and stronger. The hairs on the back of you neck are tingling, even through all the winter wear that is on you. You turn around, still trying to maintain the steady strokes and positioned feet.

The cause of the rumbling is easy to see. The white ocean is now almost on top of you.  For a few seconds you're caught in a trance and can't look away from the white wall. When you finally snap out of it you turn around, and your long strides become frantic. You're pumping your arms as hard as you possibly can and then some.

Unfortunately, your skis cross and you tumble head over heels. At this point you know that you are done for. There is no possible way to escape the thick blanket. Within moments the snow eats you up and you are being dragged violently down the once beautiful, now dangerous mountain. You are being tossed like a rag doll, you're body bend and twists in ways it shouldn't.

When the ordeal finally stops, you realize you can't breathe. You know there's no use in trying to fight the cold enemy, so you simply give up; you never thought you'd end up in a snowy grave.

6. Imagine you're swimming in dark water, uncertain of where to go or what to do. You are just starting to lose hope you'll make it out of this one. You're hungry, cold, tired. Emphasize the last one. Suddenly you're snapped back from your thoughts by something brushing by your feet. Immediately, you start to panic. Do you stay still or try to get away? You decide to stay put for now, maybe the thing that brushed up on you is gone. Maybe it really wasn't there. However, deep down you know it was.

You're about to relax when you feel it brush again. A feeling down in your stomach concludes that it's the same being. Forgetting all logic, you swim and flail as far away from that spot as possible. Unfortunately, it's impossible to swim away from an animal that has lived in water all it's life and it easily catches up with you. The last thing you see if rows of teeth coming directly at you. You should have stayed still.

7.Now, imagine you're at a serene lake, with blue skies and white, bubbly clouds. You're sitting on a rocky shore, on a discarded log. The only sound is the quiet lapping of the ice blue water in front of you.

Suddenly, the sky turns red, and you start coughing and coughing. The brilliant blue water is gone, replaced with red fire. Then you realize it's not just a dream. You open your eyes and smell thick smoke that burns your lungs. You're really hot and even in your tired state you still know what's happening. You immediately get up and dash to the door. You feel the doorknob, and it's too hot to touch again. You look around to see any other way out. The door's too hot, the window's too high- there's no way out. You sit on your bed and accept your fate.

I have three ways to exit my room to the outside, so fire is not a problem. Don't go skiing. And I always swim with a buddy in lakes that commonly have people there.

I should be just fine.

You became more descriptive on this one, especially in the beginning, so good job.

A lot of water in your stories.

Being burned alive seems hell'a painful. Wouldn't want that.

And I have thought of being stranded in the ocean with no vehicle. I'd never be able to keep myself on the surface for too long; and now there's a creature underneath me! Eek! I hope it's a friendly dolphin... though that's not likely...

You did a pretty good job here.

I think no escape is always a scary thought. I think the shark would suck the most. If you're in the water, and the shark grabs a hold of your leg, you're going under, and you know you can't get back up. With fire, all you need to do is inhale it, and viola, you're dead.

These were pretty interesting but I believe there were some deaths left unmentioned...Eaten to death, dismemberment, starved to death, shot in the liver, poisoned, etc. I'd like to see another one with those in. These were a good start, but they're only appetizers.
