"Don't move me there...I'll die!"

But you are naught but a pawn

"But I ought to spot the new dawn!"

And I wish to win my game

"That is what they all proclaim!"

Ah, but I am not the same...

"Not the same! The only difference be your name!"

Names distinguish amongst the life, and you are causing me much strife!

"But I must return to my wife!"

She shall see you at the heaven's gate!

"But that be the cruelest fate..."

Your fate be chosen, just as your traits

"I have no wish to recriminate about one's fate, just don't use me as thy bait!"

Too late.

"Knight takes me and may checkmate forsake thee!"

And may the dove forever fly free from thee!

very good

language use. that was one of those rare "wait until the room is empty, read it out loud with intent" pieces.

fun to read. a good role playing poem that would carry well to a stage for a 30 second presentation. it could just as easily be applied to real time conflict...

"forward!" he cried from the rear and the front line died...
