Zack Culber laid in his bed, reading some horror comic. The comic was called: When The Dead Walk.

The comic got boring real quickly. Zack tossed the comic onto the floor of his messy room. Clutters of stuff (or as his father liked to call it "worthless ****") laid on the floor. The comic was another addition to the messyness.

Zack pulled on some blue jeans with holes at the knees and a random T-shirt. He stepped out of his room and into the hallway. His father was sitting on the couch, watching porn, where everyone could see.

"What an ass." Zack whispered to himself.

He stepped outside and climbed into his Toyota. He slipped the keys which had been in his pocket into the ignition. The engine revved up. Zack pulled out of the driveway and drove off.

He fumbled in the glove compartment until he found the pack of cigarettes. He pulled out his "Lucky Lighter" and lit up a butt. Zack passed the Vido River and saw kids playing. One kid pushed his sister in the river.Zack giggled.

Suddenly, a moan came from behind. A loud moan. Zack turned around.

"Holy ****," Zack said.

A man in a tailored suit was attacking the kids at the river. The man's face was distorted and bloody. His suit was bloody too. Zack had to do something. Zack jumped out of the car and pulled out the iron baseball bat he used when he was still a ball player. He played when he was sixteen. He was seventeen now.

Zack ran to the edge of the river and dived in. He gripped the bat with his right hand and swam with his left. He finally reached the other side. Zack slowly walked toward the man. When he was close enough, Zack swung the bat and hit the creep in the head. The man-creature was dead. And sadly, so were all the kids.

"Oh Jesus," Zack said, drenched with water.

But then Zack saw that one kid---a boy---was still alive.

"Kid, are you alright?" Zack asked, lowering his bat.

The boy nodded. Zack could see the fear in the boy's' eyes.

Suddenly, Zack heard another moan. He looked at the dead children. They were all standing now, and walking toward the boy.

Zack now realized what was going on. Zombies! It had to be.But no time to be stunned now, Zack...you gotta help! Zack thought.

Zack raised his bat again and smacked a zombie boy in the head. Dead. Then two more. Dead. Then the rest. All dead.

"C'mon." Zack said. "I'll get you out of here."

The boy slowly came over to Zack. They jumped in the river and swam to the other side. They climbed in the Toyota.Zack decided to go back to his house.

"What's your name, kid?" Zack asked, trying to shake off his fears.

"Danny," the boy said.

Danny looked out the window. "Where are we going?"

"To my house. Where do you live?"

"Nowhere. Those things---the zombies---got my parents."

Zack gulped. "Then what were you doing with those kids?"

"I saw the zombie. I was trying to warn them. But I guess that didn't work."

"How old are you?"

"Eleven."

Without realizing it, they had reached the house. They stepped into the house. No one was home. The two dried off.

"I've got an idea." Zack said.

Zack led Danny to the basement. His father had a huge gun collection.

"You ever handled a gun before squirt?"

"Don't underestimate me. I've killed those things too, and I didn't hesitate one ******* second." Danny said. "I actually fought off my own parents with my two hands."

"How the hell did you do that?" Zack asked.

"I gave them the Death Punch. I know karate."

"Holy ****!" Zack joked. "We've got a Bruce Lee mini-me in the room!"

" **** you." Danny said.

Zack handed Danny some guns. They then pulled every single gun off the shelves and piled them in the car.

"Do we really need all these guns?" Danny asked. "I mean, there can't be that many of these crazy bastards around, right?"

"Ya never know, Danny." Zack said as they both entered the Toyota. "Ya never know."
