Hello and good day. My full name is Robert Quintin Penn, but you may simply call me Quintin. I go by many names: Quintin, Mr. Penn, 1800, Señor Pibb, and even The Man in Black. Where should I begin? I do not want to tell my whole life's story right here and now. I suppose I should tell you about my personality, my likes and dislikes.
At a young age, I was diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome, an Autism Spectrum Disorder. A few of the symptoms include intense interests, development of an unchanging routine, and stereotyped behavior. For example, I have had a life long interest in firearms. Why, I do not know. Yet I look at a firearm as a tool, a piece of machinery, while others look at them as nothing but death. I have no interest in harming other people or living creatures, but I love shooting guns for sport. Over many years, I have gathered a great amount of information on many pistols, rifles, machine guns, submachine guns, and shotguns When I was about six years old, I devoloped an interest in sharks. I could tell you their genus and species without having to even think about it. As I grew older, my knowledge in that field eventually declined. I then had an interest in photography at the age of fourteen. That dwindled, but for the recently, my knowledge and interest in astronomy has multiplied signifigantly. All this time, I have also loved firearms, as well as having a secondary interest.
As you may have noted, I went on a very long winded thing in the previous paragraph. I do this too often, and I apologize. I cannot control myself when it comes to that. Another subject is that of daily routines. Almost every day, I will return home from school, and immediately get on my computer and go to a few websites within ten minutes, including storiesville. After which I might research random topics of interest, and play different video games. Eventually I will then eat dinner, take a shower, go to bed, and usually watch Comedy Central or the History Channel. If nothing is on, I read different novels.
I understand that I have homework, and work related to my advancements in the Boy Scouts, yet I have trouble getting around to them. Even if I suddenly stopped, and began to work on them, I might get only 10% completed, and then I will continue on with my previously interrupted work.
Usually, I read a great amount of books every year. My favorite authors include Stephen King, S.D. Perry, Arthur C. Clark, and Isaac Asimov. I find science fiction, and horror to be some of the most interesting literary genres. The same goes for movies, especially films like Alien.
In the past year or so, I have for some inexplicable reason, become affected by insults. Someone says to me, “What are you, a fag?” I reply truthfully with, “No, I am not.” Most likely the person will persist in their barrage of insults, and I cannot make a good comeback. I do not forget about these things, and it can affect me for some time. My only way with dealing with such things is imaging utterly annihilating them by various means. But just remember, I am only imaging such things. With the exception of that one time where I fought and pummeled that teen who kept kicking me in the groin in gym class for days, I do not waste my time fighting.
Well, looks like I have written too much already. If you, the reader, want me to write another one of these little...biographies? Would that be the correct term? Please let me know if you want me to write up another one. I always have trouble finding the correct words to describe things, as well as explaining my own thoughts, ideas and dare I say, emotions.

![]() 02-03-2008 12:30, say write another - that for me, would be torture (not the reading part, but i think i would fall off of the end of the earth if i wrote something biographical then had to figure out how to continue) - but i would be interesting in see this version revised and perhaps enlarged. » Reply to this comment... ![]() 02-03-2008 12:32, are hard to write! » Reply to this comment... ![]() 02-03-2008 15:30, This was interesting to read Robert. Aspergers is largely misunderstood by a lot of people. It would be nice for you if you could somehow decide what things would take your interest enough for you to become obsessed with them, to the point that you master all knowledge of it. Actually that would be good for anyone. I think write more if it helps you define yourself, maybe have some epiphonies » Reply to this comment... ![]() 02-03-2008 22:56, I say write more. Not only is this an interesting read but it's also a thought-exercise for you. You can't go wrong with that. » Reply to this comment... ![]() 02-06-2008 08:43, Please write more. I also want to see an enlarged version of this. Why not go into more detail. Also, it would be nice to get more of your feelings and solutions to the various problems you face right now. I also have a huge interest in firearms and I can definitely relate. Some advise if I may: deal with the fuckers that are insulting you. I am not telling you to “annihilate” them, but kick their asses. Please! You will only have to do this a couple of times. After that everyone will get the message, believe me, and they will leave you the fuck alone. One way or another you must stand up to them. Better get a busted lip or broken jaw than live with the agonizing thought that you did nothing. Best of luck. » Reply to this comment... » See all 1 replie(s) ![]() 02-06-2008 15:42, I really liked reading this. It gave me a whole new perspective on you as a person. In addition, I have a cousin who was diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome. So I have a small understanding of it. Good writing » Reply to this comment... ![]() 02-11-2008 10:09, I usually like reading auto-biographies/biographies, so this was a breeze to read. I, like Morgen, have also developed a new sense of why Quintin does the things he does (putting aside the fact that you were diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome). You've actually always come across as, what one would say is "normal" to me. Not to rob you of your individuality... it's just that your situation is a familiar one. Like Dirk says, if you find it to be a path of self-discovery, keep writing! We all yearn to find ourselves. I would definitely read more. » Reply to this comment... » See all 2 replie(s) ![]() 02-11-2008 12:21, was a nice little read.
