Blue

Water comes rushing in my ears

Everything here is gone except for my tears

            You went into the sky

I never got to say goodbye

But as I float here above the blue

I realize how much I sit here and think of you

It always seemed like you would’ve been the best for me

But I just never could make them see

You gave me the choice to go with you or stay behind

But I wanted to wait for the perfect time

Patience ran out and tension grew

Maybe I wasn’t the best for you

With my foolish actions here holding me down

I think I may just lose my strength and drown

Sinking deeper here into the blue

My interpretation.

So is this a person, maybe lying in a pool of water (such as a river) looking up into the sky (which is why the tears are flowing into his/her ears) and reminiscing about a loved one that took his/her own life?

Because the one that maybe committed suicide suggested a double suicide, and in the end the person speaking begins to think he/she wasn't good enough for him/her to stop him/her from dying.

And now the person speaking is 'alone' and depressed... 'sinking'... maybe on the verge of drowning him/herself.

Am I way off?

actually

This is a perfect discription of the movie 'open water' where their left in shark infested deep open water by a miscalculation of the husband.

This personally is one of my favorites that i have written so far. This is about an individual who has lost a person very close to them simply because of their stupid decisions. The individual realizes his decision to wait was wrong and then he seeks deep into a dark depression. Although i'm interested that this poem is exactly like a movie. I'll have to take a look at this movie "open water." But this wasn't about someone getting attacked by sharks. This was something that came out of my own thoughts.

Azul

Hello,

Oh, this is absolutely beautiful, it has an oceanic, in and out of life flow to it, as well as an ethereal, between two worlds.

Very cool effect I must say.

Take care,

'Anna
