         I was shot.

As well as fifteen other men around me.

It hit close to my heart and now everything was failing.

I was only in a room to protect those of higher value with my other friends of my army. But the enemy rolled in.

Of no understanding by whom, I was shot. They didn’t even aim, they just hit me.

I held my heart, thinking I was only having a heart attack from the excitement, but it was obvious from the tattering heard around my head what was really killing me. The blood made it easier to slide along the wall which I hit.

The room was concrete, with no windows. Blood splattered along every edge. They noticed everyone was dead or dying and head out the other door onto the next destination, which our allies would fail there too.

It was then, as they left that the wolves came in to feast on the leftovers. They were the demons which waited for every soul to die, as these ghostly wolves came behind the enemy. They tore our souls out and came for me last.

I watched as the wolves swarmed the room and tore apart our faith. It hurt, the pains they left. But it was no matter, I was soon to fail. They danced their pride through the flesh they ripped, and I helplessly fell to my demise. My blood leaked and attracted them to me. I chose not to defend my life, since it was obvious where I was going.

And you thought death was scary without the wolves.

Interesting way to view death...remind me not to die. in fact, I'm gonna live forever...and so far so good.

I hope I'd live forever too, if there were wolves in the end.

I wrote this story out of the view of a war-type video game. You know, you go around shooting people and it only takes a second to be shot, so you never really know who you killed. Such as, if the main character were to die, there would be an epic ending, but a normal person just dies in a second.

Does that make sense?

Didn't click for me.

There was a flow to it until the section about the wolves, and after that, it threw me off and discouraged me, like it wasn't being written by the same person.

So the wolves were a bad idea? I looked so forward to them...That's okay, everyone has their preferences. Thank you though, for the comment, your comments always make me reread to see my mistakes. I understand what you were saying about "being read by a different person." Thank you for another.

Death within a minute

Whoa! A new and unique twist on the old saying "wolves at the door". I quess he didn't see the light. Nicely written. short, but descriptive.

Good job.

Sincerely,
