corrosive green a whisper across my tongue forcing introspective prosecution a ballad repressed and for ages unsung offspring of fire shelter of men the fabled tree of life bids chemical gateways to open senses extended brainwaves distended the joyous slave found euphoria while the cancerous heart pretended they roam the streets of our cities selling enlightenment for a fee but all that I seek in you is all I will ever find in me Spirits ascended reality suspended have any of you found this euphoria? or is it just my heart that's pretended language escapes the quivering mind paranoia locks confidence behind gate and key all that I seek in you could easily be found within me Copyright 2008 Andrew Handley |
