gone was the girl once innocent of love, heartaches...

Where is the fear and disgust,

when those that we trust

turn out to be the ones that have been abusing us?

I think communal inaction,

short term satisfaction,

and fear are the weapons of mass distraction.

Why fight the good fight today,

why bother having our say,

when we've got so many ******* computer games?

Why do we live in this maze,

of life determined in school days,

and slowly watch all of our freedom slipping away?

So run on hamster wheels,

see the world through the news reels,

and choose to have no choice in democratic appeals.

This is true and realistic.

But at least we got our poetries and stories to tell. :)

I definitely agree...

with your message.

So many of us TALK, but stay on the sidelines.

And then there are the times we complain about an outcome, but contributed absolutely nothing to make it any different.

Most of us sit idle and live life routinely. Thinking 'nothing will affect ME, of course not.' But slowly your brain is rotting!... muahahahaha! Heh, just joking.

Oi, but I sadly admit to being one them sometimes... though I do make an effort to make changes that I believe are for the greater good.

This should be eye-opening. Very good.

Yes, I wrote this somewhat hypocritically, being the same. I hear about all sorts of things that are wrong with the world, but somehow it doesn't seem real unless its personally affecting me. Like the news is just another fictional show.

Exactly!

Though, the News tend to exaggerate at times... because even they fight for ratings :).

Fookin' Birll!

I think communal inaction,

short term satisfaction,

and fear are the weapons of mass distraction. -Damn, right there.

Yer see that?

Awesome verse, I really found meself sort of blown away here.

Not an easy feat even if I do only weigh 74lbs at the moment.

I still not easily impressed.

Easily amused fer sure.

But not easily impressed.

Damn Dirk, that was a fookin' cool verse.
