THE BIGGER THE BETTER. “It doesn’t have to be big. It works just the same no matter what the size, the main thing is to use it properly. Even quite small ones can still be satisfying.” She smiled at me as she spoke. I knew what she meant, but I still felt a little embarrassed.“But surely I would have to be one of your smaller clients, I’m sure you’ve had much bigger ones. I mean someone with your reputation must be able to be rather choosey” I was nervous, I’d never done this before. My former partner used to take care of it . “ Not at all. We realise that the customer can only work with what they have and we’re only too happy to help them reach their potential. After all if you think it’s grown and your happy, then so are we” She stood and walked to the window, the sun shining through her skirt, highlighted her figure and showed me what underwear she wasn’t wearing. You don’t have to do that, you’ve already sold me. “ I think it’s important that you look at other options, maybe try some one else, make comparisons before you take the plunge” She had moved from the window, sat down again. Show’s over.I cleared my throat, my mouth was dry, “No, I want to do it now. I think the time is right, I feel ready for it-- now” “ Alright, if you’re sure, we can start the paper work right away, there’s a lot to sort out and it will take a day or two to finalise.”I was surprised, “But I thought we could do it now.” “ Really Mr Connor, you might think a hundred thousand dollar portfolio is small, but we have to be sure that we invest it for you in a safe, but profitable manner. As you said we have a reputation to protect. The financial investment business is very cutthroat.”
