The creature approached the cave slowly. It was cautious of the dangers that may lurk inside. Funny how a creature as grotesque as this one could fear something else but that is the way of this world. No matter how disgusting you are there is always something worse. Unless of course you are that unfortunate creature at the bottom of this particular totem pole, but this creature is far from that. Creeping into the cave he stops to appreciate its majesty. A huge cavern, dark and wet is exactly the home this creature was looking for. It prepares it voice for its most terrifying call. “CHIRLUP!” it bellows. Announcing its presence while still close enough to the entrance to make a quick escape if something more horrible were to call back. Waiting with open ears the creature hears nothing but the drip drop of the water falling from the stalactites to the floor. Pleased with the apparent emptiness of this particular cavern he ventures forth. His glee rising as he moves from one cavern to the next until he stumbled upon me. Now you don’t get much more non-threatening than me, but when it comes to the grotesque they rarely appreciate my specific brand of beauty. I may not be much to look at, (I am just a book you see) but within my covers lies all the knowledge in the world. All you have to do is ask of it and my blank pages will fill with your answer. Well this creature certainly isn’t seeking inner enlightenment so you will have to understand my uneasiness around him. I have survived a LONG time by providing those who hold me with what they want most. Be it an easy way to come into wealth, to how to make the one they seek most fall in love with them. This creature however may just be searching for the fastest way to make a fire. That could prove a problem to my continued existence. Surprisingly however the creature takes a seat. He opens my heavy cover with his gross little fingers and his mind relays to me what he wants. The story of how the most terrible, the most disgusting creature of our world came to meet his demise. I love telling this one!

Gish and his friend Gordita continue their trek down the winding path. Going nowhere in particular the two wonder how much farther they have to go to reach wherever they will end up. It is not surprising to see these two together seeing as how Gordita is actually assigned to Gish and must be within arms reach of him at all. Gordita you see is an imp. A small ugly little thing normally associated with evil. However because an imp is prone to take on the characteristics of his master this imp is a good one. “Gordita, I am tharting to get tired.” says young Gish. Gish has a slight lisp. Barely noticeable really unless of course he is speaking. “Well let’s stop right up there at the lake then, my leg could use a break anyway.” replies the friendly imp. Gordita is not a fan of long walks. He broke his leg once trying to save Gish from one of his many mishaps. Ever since it healed Gordita has had a terrible limp. As they approach the lake the to hear the tell tale signs of two ruffians tussling. Gordita pulls little Gish into a bush to try to get some eyes on the situation without being seen. Their prognosis was correct. There in front of them were two boys of good size going at it. Standing behind them though was a girl. Immediately our duo knew the situation. They were fighting over the girl. “Come on” said the imp “Lets go stop ‘em. No girl is worth fighting over.” He thought though that if there ever was a girl worth fighting over it would be this one. Not his particular type (he a preferred red skinned demonness with a terrible temper) he could appreciate how these mortals would see her as beautiful. Her golden hair falling over her exquisite shoulders. Her alabaster skin announcing its softness to anyone who gazed upon it. Her breast supple and her hips ample. I bet she’s great in the.. “Okay, Gordy leth go!” said Gish interrupting his friend most inappropriate thought process.

The pair burst out of the bushes startling the fighters. They stopped their bout and turned to face the newcomers. “Come on guyth don’t fight!” exclaimed Gish. The oafs looked at each other and snickered. “What’s your name?” asked the larger of the two. “Gith” Again the two snickered. “Something funny to you?” demanded Gordita limping over to step in front Gish . “What the heck are you?” asked the other. “An imp you snot nosed punk!” The two couldn’t contain themselves. They fell to the ground laughing at them. “So you’re telling me we have Gish with a lisp and an imp with a limp  “Be nice to them I think they seem nice” spoke the beauty. “It’s a pleasure to meet you both my name is Rena. These two ruffians are my brothers, Duil and Kull.” “Itth a pleathure to meet all of you” The two contained themselves this time not wanting to disappoint their older sister. “So where are ya’ll going” asked Duil the larger and more intimidating of the two. “Nowhere in particular, just wandering until we get somewhere. What about you guys?” asked the imp. “We are going to fight the grass monster to get the Book of Water. Our small town is suffering a drought and we need the Book of Water or everyone there will perish!” spoke the beauty. Gish had heard of the grass monster. He knew it was the most terrible thing on the planet and protected the Book of Water to prevent anyone from having such awesome power over nature. The Book of Water could bring water anywhere. Make it rain on a sunny day. Mother Nature has never been a fan of people meddling in her work so she assigned the grass monster to protect her book. No one who has ever stood against the grass monster has lived. Gish did not however want to leave this girl's company. Ever since she said that he seemed nice his feet haven’t touched the ground. She was so pretty. Much to pretty for him. But still……

“Grass monster huh? I used to hang out with him before nature assigned him to protect the book. Back before creatures like you walked this planet. Maybe I could pull a string and help you out.” Its not often imps offer to help but Gordita could feel the want of his companion to continue to be with this Rena. “You know that its not an easy journey to get to him though?” “We are well aware of the risk” replied Kull. “Then its settled we will leave first thing in the morning!” announced the imp. Gish was pleased that he was going to get to spend time with Rena but couldn’t help but feel a pang of anxiety about the journey. He knew Gordita would protect him, but the Grass monster was no one to be trifled with. He would just have to trust in his friends abilities and good judgment.

Good first half

Good start and very imaginative.

The paragraphs do need splitting up though.

I'll be waiting on the second half now.
