One morning, I was in Starbucks and I saw a man sitting at his laptop computer. He was just looking at me and said hi. I said hi back just to be nice and sat down next to him to drink my coffee.
We started talking about where we grew up. I was born in Orange, but was raised mostly in Santa Ana. He, on the other hand, grew up in Michigan. Even so, we came to two common grounds. Both of us really like the city of Orange and were raised in Catholic families.
They have three children Austin, Carissa, and Carter. So cute and full of energy. Austin is the most closest to my age...despite a 10 year difference. (He'll be 18 in February) And he's a jazz piano player. We bonded the minute we met because both of us like jazz music! I have hoped for a friendship that will last through the test of time, and it seems like I got what I hoped for. The kids are a lot of fun to talk to...especially Carter. He absolutely loves to talk about anything and everything. He's almost 10 years old! We even talk about what we think is so disgusting. "How about roaches?" I ask. "Ewww! I hate those!" Carter responds. "Roadkill is pretty nasty!" Carissa tells me. I must confess, she's right. We get too much of it where I live and...ugh! I don't want to think about it right now...I'm getting the creeps! However, the Page family and I have developed quite an attachment and I hope for this friendship to be strong and as I already mentioned to last through the test of time! : )

His name is Robert and he showed me a picture of his wife whom I met eventually. Her name is Lynette.
Carissa is almost 15 and loves to dance. She's such a beautiful girl! Long blonde hair, freckles, pretty blue eyes...when she's older, I know she'll make all the boys turn a second glance! Then there's Carter...such a cutie! He has shaggy blonde hair, freckles, and beautiful eyes of blue as well! My grandma calls him "my Calvin Klein model." And she really does take to him.
