The silent prison held the rationale of the most reasoned For in this very season a plot of trickery and treason Was planned within the eminent walls Of the capital and its contiguous mall The men involved were of all walks of life Some did suffer in some strange strife Yet others were from the aristocracy But were caught in the most appalling apothecary Where if the poison did mingle with blood Let us say that no flower could ever bud And without this poison so corrupt No crime of eminence could erupt As the criminals drew near, a sense of calmness, not of fear was found in every man in the room Only a future for time to consume As the future did draw alongside the premier sat at his fire-side ‘Till at one moment a dagger did reveal moments later the premier did feel a sense of weak that compelled him to reel For the dagger was poisoned by the force to slay the leader in quick course But as the leader did fall a rustle was heard in the capital’s mall Copyright 2007 Chris |
