A Christmas Gift |

 In the little village of Hundle a teen named Maria Scott was getting ready to head out shopping for a Christmas gift for her sister Anna Scott who was diagnosed with leukemia cancer. The cancer was so bad that Maria and her family would be spending Christmas in the hospital. So Maria wanted it to be the best Christmas ever so she was going to make it the best one ever. Maria stopped at her dad’s office to tell him that she was going out to buy a gift for Anna and went out to the car. After getting in the car she let it defrost and turned on the radio to her favourite station 94.7 hits fm. After the car was defrosted she started for the mall where she would be meeting her best friend Dylan Frest. After driving for and hour and a half she finally saw the shopping mall entrance. So she turned in and got a parking spot close to the entrance. After she finished locking up her car she headed in to meet Dylan. Dylan was right where she said she would be, at a table drinking a hot chocolate at HotChocMania which was their usual meeting place.“Hey Dylan, you ready?” asked Maria. “Yah” answered Dylan getting up. After Dylan threw her garbage away, they headed to the jeweller’s store to pick up the gold cross necklace she ordered from Japan for her sister and a 10k gold heart pendant for her mom Caroline. After Dylan and Maria paid for their purchases they headed to Coles to pick up the medical books for Dylan’s older sister Kelsey who was going to medical school after Christmas. Then they headed to the deli for some lunch. At the deli Maria ordered a smoke meat sandwich with a water and Dylan ordered a sprite with a chicken wrap and for desert they both ordered a piece of double chocolate cake. After they ate they finished their Christmas shopping, and then headed home. When Maria got home she finished wrapping the Christmas gifts. After she finished wrapping all the Christmas gifts except her own she went upstairs to get ready for the Christmas dinner that they were going to have at the hospital. After she got dressed in a black halter dress with black high heels she headed down stairs and started loading the car with all the presents. Well she was loading the presents her mom came out in a red beaded halter dress with red high heels. “Ready to go?” asked Caroline. “Yah, is dad?” answered Maria not noticing her father come from the house in a black suit. “Yes I am sweetheart” said Maria’s father Jim well getting in the driver’s seat. After she and her mom finished loading the presents they got in the car. “Let’s go” said the father pulling out of their driveway. On their trip to the hospital they all discussed what they got Anna. After a half hour of driving the emergency entrance of the hospital came in view. Maria and Caroline went in the hospital well Jim parked the car and got the gifts. After Jim parked the car they all headed to Anna’s room. “Hey Anna” said Maria well giving her a hug. “Merry Christmas everyone” said Anna smiling brightly. “Let’s open gifts” suggested Anna . “Okay” agreed everyone. Maria’s and Jim put all the gifts under the tree and grabbed the one for Anna from Caroline. “This is from mom to you” said Maria handing Anna a present wrapped in blue and gold wrapping paper. “Thanks mom” said Anna holding up a pink ipod .After they all opened their gifts Maria got up and grabbed the gift she had bought for Anna from her purse and said “ I hope you like it” well handing it to Anna. Anna eagerly ripped the wrapping paper to show a maroon box which she opened and revealed a gold cross with the word’s “God will always love you” engraved on it. “I love it “ said Anna while giving her sister a hug. ************************************************************************ 2 years later Maria and her sister were still really close and Anna was to be released because she had no more leukemia which means the family had many more awesome Christmases. __________________________________________________________________________________________________ Please review.
