Long I waited fearing, peering

Long I waited drearing, hearing

Long I stared through darkness seering

Seely* from the days of past

Looking through my looking glass

seeing things from within

things I feared through all my days

Seeing them right through the haze

Awoke my fears from their bind

Forcing them out of mind,

I heard a bugle of strange kind

Rank and rank of angry men

Came ‘round the illustrious bend

Cantering through my battered brigade

I witnessed history being made

As fast as it started I would find,

I lost my body soul and mind

I found this writ upon the grave,

I felt as though while I read it, it only got louder and louder till the end, when the last line was whispered. This was very tense to me, and the ending came just in time. It had a unique rhyme in the beginning. Very well written.
