It's a Matter of Importance

The two of them stood there, neither one of them...

TO WHOM IT MIGHT CONCERN (Gambia Oct '08)

It is not all fun being invisible, not all about...

To Slip Away

To Slip Away

It plays over and over

We talk then walk away

Neither asking the biggest question

Will we ever meet again?”

Now here I am

Crying, dying

Ever so slowly

Time slips by.

The pain strengthens

It clarifies everything

No one can see

No one can help

Only you can

I still wonder

Can we be? Could we be?

Maybe and maybe not

Time would tell us

Was it meant to end this way?

I hope not

Love burns us

Sometimes we heal

Sometimes we can't

I don't care anymore

We could have tried harder

Could have tried to make this work

We'll never know now

The coolness of this knife

Against my skin

These tears

They fall

As I write my last letter to you

I'm sorry

I try to tell you

You hold me as I slip away

Please. Don't cry

I don't want to leave you, but I have to

Goodbye, my love

Please. Don't cry

It's time.

we don't get much poetry here, it's refreshing.

....

Normally poetry doesn't hold my interest, but this one did.

....

It's a little heavy-handed. Crying, dying, tear, pain, knife, "Love burns us". All really over-the-top
