Victoria seemed to enjoy having her blood consumed. It was like when she bit me that first time. As I looked up to her, while I still sucked out her blood from her neck, I saw her eyes were closed, her head lifted up high. She was clearly in a state of ecstasy, of sweet pleasure. I smiled slightly. The opportunity for me to strike came and I took it.

In a quick motion, I quickly snapped behind her, reached around, and plunged a dagger into her chest. “W-w-why?” she gasped as she fell to the ground. With that I laughed triumphantly. “Who's laughing now, bitch?” Victoria fell on her back. The terror in her eyes was satisfying. Was it the fact that she was now the victim, was it the fact that she was utterly defeated, or was it the fact that she was so vulnerable? “You seemed to be smiling when I came up to you.” she nodded. “You enjoyed every moment of my suffering, waiting for me to come back and do your bidding. Oh, well do I have plans for you...” with that said I laughed maniacally. The best part was when she screamed. To who did she scream? I always find this to be quite funny; she screamed to God, even though she was a vampire.

I jumped on top of her.

I was satisfied, she was dead,; I left for home.

The night sky seemed to open up to me. I saw the Moon, the stars, and a few planets. A good sign I considered it. I was already feeling better. Any symptoms of a turning vampire were long gone, and I was as close as possible to my complete human state. Her death must have triggered it. Still, the taste of blood always appeals to me, but is not necessary for my survival. I could return to my regular FPS 40 sunscreen during the summer. My physical strength remained in its heightened state, and my vision was much more flexible, allowing me to see much better at night, but not being blinded during the day. I guess I must have more rods floating in my eyes than previously.

As I write this I continue to wonder two things: Was there something on a spiritual connection that made my vampire traits go away? I mean her death being in correlation to me reverting to myself isn't something science usually explains. Was it justified to kill her? As a Christian, I believe it to be so. I may have saved more innocent men from falling under her inescapable charm.

Grabbed..
Really liked the opening line. I don't know much [any] vampire lore, so I don't know much of the transformation process or what would stop it.

Again, great opening sentence.
