"Are you positive it will work? They won't be like us?"

"We are positive."

Suddenly a bright light flashed in front of the group. After the group had adjusted their eyes a large paper thin plasma-like doorway stood in front of them. Several of them gasped.

"Are you positive the Third Dimension can support life?"

"Entirely."

"Put it in then," he said in a resigned voice. An individual emerged from the group with a long pole. He was handed a box that contained a fluidy green mass. The box was placed on the point of the pole and thrust into the plasma-like doorway. Somehow in that minute distance it disappeared.

"We can only hope that whatever they become doesn't destroy the planet. They are the last chance for life. We have destroyed our own planet beyond repair. There are none like it. We are doomed. Whatever that water filled planet becomes we can only hope our experiment does not fail us.

"I hope all of you watched. That box's life or death will determine if life shall ever exist in the universe again. We have doomed ourselves by taking advantage of our planet; there are none like it and we were foolish to think we could adapt to a new one."
