04-24-2008 07:26,
Many of the symptoms (of depression) you described are pretty accurate. This one for example:
"And the parasites, they still crawl
Taking away my ability to feel anything at all"
When deeply submerged in depression, people become indifferent (or nonchalant) towards the world that is outside of their problems.
Also this one:
"And then you ask me why
I'm not the same inside"
Naturally when our attitude towards 'life' changes our personality changes... oh but, telling a person that is suffering of depression that he/she is "not the same anymore" is the ABSOLUTE worse thing to say to them! Hated when my mother would tell me that...
I thought this could of been more intense, because depression IS very intense, so this one needs work on really projecting how disheartening and painful depression can be.
