This had a dystopian feel to it. A time where there isn't even a remnant of hope... just misery, disease, oppression, political corruption, war, pollution... though, of course, this can easily be describing our current social state (on a worldly scale).
I like this line:
"Everyday it gets harder to breathe
Putting on the respirator has now become a daily routine"
This made me think of natural selection, you know, adapting to one's environment... and how man is slowly growing incompetent. Man is not physically adapting to his environment; he is creating devices (technology) to aid him in, basically, everything... he is not fit.
Ahh! See how you make the wheels in my head turn!
Oi, but this line:
"But praying is nothing but a waste of time
Down here we are no more important than the filthy flies" I do not like that faith in God has been lost :(.
