The diary entry that McCallum reads is the "Dear Boss" letter received on September 27th, 1888 at the Central News Agency in London. It is believed that this letter and the "Saucy Jack" postcard were written by the same person. The "Saucy Jack" postcard was referenced in "An Agent's Burial."
