I was listening to the Creedence Clearwater Revival version, the one McCallum was listening to in his room. It's my preferred version, as well. Though, I also like the take on it by The Slits.    2. "Why, Ms. Vivian, what a narrow tie you wear?" is a reference to a quote by famous composer Bernard Herrmann (most known for his score for Hitchcock's "Psycho"). The quote of Herrmann's goes as follows, "Your views are as narrow as your tie."
