03-17-2008 07:49,
It hit me right here man (*points at her chest, i.e. heart) hehehe.
I liked the last line in the last stanza, "And my heart…will never playback." To no longer reminisce...
I'll point out a few things (forgive me if I am way off... poetry/literature in general can be interpreted in so many different ways depending on the person who is doing the interpreting):
"All you can ever seem to do.
Is mistake me, for what is you.
You keep your blame unremitting.
And sadly, I was another to your fitting."
This makes me think that the speaker is constantly scrutinized by an older family member (perhaps a father or mother); one of those Mini-Me cases. The speaker obviously feels he/she is being blamed for things he/she shouldn't... speaker is victim of verbal abuse.
So much emotional baggage to be dumped on someone smaller than you is never healthy for the latter person (as your title and last stanza point out). Their attitude towards life becomes bleak...
