Before I read your explanation of the artwork titles (paintings?) I felt like I should have already read the epic fantasy novel e.g. like lord of the rings that this poem is based on. It reads like a prophecy. Having no idea what it was referencing made it slightly less enjoyable, but that was before I read the explanation.
