I'm not sure if a corncob pipe is the same as a regular tobacco pipe because I've never heard that term but this story really got to me. I can relate so much. No matter how much me and family go down the shit hole, are my dad does is light up his pipe and everything seems okay to him. Yeah, it smells like burning hair but its what relaxes him, you know? Well, sorry to babble on but that means you have written a very good story here, and you should be proud of that.
