Hey man I am snappy!! Hahahaha, j/k. This is what I want, to write about whatever. It's not my best work, but it got my fingers a typin'. I think I wrote about 735 words or so. Not a long dissertation, but something that just popped into my head. Which is what this writing circle is all about. Can't wait to read some of the others!

i went with the first sentence method rather than just picking a topic because the sentence method starts everyone's creative mind at the same location. i think, in order to get a peek into everyone else's minds, we have to have a common denominator.

AND you know, being as how i picked the sentence, you would think that i would have done a little planning!?

but, in a typical display of tarheadedness, i walked through the door and the blasted water dish was empty again (little miss mugwumps's job) - so that was the starting sentence.

962 words. a little longer than i expected it to be.

the results on the thread are fantastic. it is amazing how many different directions the story went.

i've thought of different methods to select the next sentence picker, and for a while i thought i would pick the author of the story that best tickles MY fancy - but that, i think, would make me uncomfortable...

so i am going to pull a name out of the hat - from all of the folks that post something.

I AM ASSUMING THAT IF YOU POST A STORY - YOU ARE IN THE HAT TO BE PICKED FOR THE NEXT FIRST SENTENCE?

also, i think to keep the thread as compressed as possible, when we reach the end of the time limit, i am going to post one bulk post o'comments rather than a individual comment for each one.

I have to admit when i saw this idea i was'nt that interested, just said i'd go with the flow.But i really enjoyed this, great idea Lori.

I am out of time since I am supposed to be somewhere..so right now..whoo hoo go me with a good idea. Tell evreyone that I actually had a good idea!

So I have a commewnt, suggestion, whatever....

I think it is fine that we post our story to the front page, many of us have...but there has got to be some way that we designate that it is part of this topic assignment so to speak. That way, we can find all the stories that are related to the topic and we don't read them before we post our own. Does this make sense? I know a couple of us posted that it was part of this, but several did not. I'd like to be able to find them all.

Does this make sense, or am I just being bitchy?

Okay y'all. Who else is going to post their story on this weeks topic? Make sure you upload it to the forum idea "Write a Quick One." We have had some great and truly diverse stories this week. Can't wait for next week to see what it will bring.
