actually, it was the insertion of the type of weapon used to perforate a victim that was the giveaway...
i'm a ruger, super blackhawk, 7.5" barrel, four hundred and forty thousanths of an inch caliber fan... i have a preference for things that go BOOM. i shoot iron sights, don't believe in scopes. reload and cast my own bullets.
i was a member of ihmsa for many years, and competed locally. the competitions would usually average about 200 shooters. it was there that i confirmed that if the u.s. were to be invaded, there would be no problem handling it.
when competing we shot 25, 50, 75, & 100 yards. when practicing we would shift over to 50, 75, 150, & 200 yard sets. the super blackhawk is sighted in right out of the box at 100 yds - so 100 and above is easy. the real trick is knocking down the short targets (i never like to make sight adjustments for elevation).
most of the folks i shot with could put down 5 out of 5 targets at 200 yards - with handguns. if cnn ever said foreign army and gulf coast in the same sentence, there would be a pick up parade headed south. standing room only.
