let me say this about that...

i've been here a long bit, and one of our original complaints was that folks would drop in, load up the new story screen, then bounce right back out - with no real interest in participating in the operation of the machine.

most of us came here because we were tired of being the only one's reading our stories and this site provided a great outlet for us. as the site grew, we managed to attract a lot of people that i like to think of a surface clutter...

they would arrive
add clutter while not participating
then leave in frustration because nobody showed interest in them (since they showed no interest in us)

at least now, folks have to pay some dues to jump in - and i like that.

if they are really readers as well as writers, they will do just fine. if they are just writers - they will go away faster than before - or not play at all...

to sum it up, i like the credit system - although it does send a unusual challenge my way - i will adapt.

no, excuse me, i have to go read some stuff.

i have a lot a catching up to do...
