Dang, I want some controversial comments.

I would like to say that I agree whatever the comments are, good or bad, the worst thing that can happen is several people beginning a running argument in the comments that often take the focus away from the story. We should all try our best not to respond to rude negative comments and just let the wankers have their say and move on (its hard, I always want to make a come back), or at least duke it out on the forums.
As for grammer nazis, well I dont particularly care myself, if someone points it out to me I'll just fix it. Often when I proof read something its hard to spot errors, because its like my mind automatically remembers what I was intending to write and once again misses the errors. Someone else should always proof read your work, with fresh eyes.
I think the funniest thing to see is people being grammer cops about peoples comments! I type my comments out at the speed of light and send, there's no way to edit them.

i know! sometimes i make sure i use caps and whatnot.. but (like now) sometimes i just type it out real fast because i'm only on for a few minutes. DON'T CRITIQUE THE COMMENTS lol. just the story

Dirkin--I think the reason that people grammar-nazi comments is because IN the comments the author will be defending their grammar and spelling skills. There's nothing more ironic than someone who's talking about how amazing their grammar is while employing terrible grammar.

Sorry if I've been an especial prig about that--grammar's my strong suit, and I'm used to people in RL coming to me for proofreading help. I guess on some level I assumed that people would enjoy having their grammar issues isolated, but obviously that's not the case with everyone! My own short-sightedness as a copy editor.
