Jeez... Allmine, calm down. You've already made it quite clear that you don't like having only promoted stories on the front page, and you've convinced me to some degree.

We temporarily removed the popular stories of the week section because all the popular stories turned out to be the promoted stories. We are currently trying to figure out the appropriate setting to have the most qualified stories on the front page while giving exposure to the members with high credit.

As I said before, I am making a list of things that should be implemented to the site in a near future (I predict some time in mid July). So I would like to encourage the members to keep making suggestions, but please be patient.


I promise, I am not yelling, just trying to get your attention. I am patient to some extent and I am glad that you understand what I am saying....

what about instead of most popular the highest rated? that way it would be stuff that recieves good ratings, and is most likely a good story. idk if the most promoted are also the highest rated though, because they have more hits.and then theres the problem that some people give others bad ratings just because they dont like them and stuff.

True..we need to come up with a way to truly get the best stories on the front page. But then again, who is to decide what the best stories are...right?

I am for that though...makes me want to write better!
