And no I am not talking about me...this time!

It seems as if the promoted stories have taken over the front page. That kind of upsets me. Now, we no longer have to have anything that is worthy of being noticed to be on the front page. We just have to "buy" our way there. Seems kinda unfair, and very capitalistic. Am I the only one that thinks this way? I want our BEST stories on the front page, have to earn your spot there, not just random crap. Again, am I the only one that thinks this way?

Hmm I think I know what u mean, yet the idea behind the promoted stories is to get your stories some attention, whether theyre the 'best' or not. I wonder what might happen when there are one hundred promoted stories at once? Will you never see your story on the front page?

EXACTLY...that and we might miss one that is good. That and the thrill of making your story good is gone. Good is a lame word, but it's all I got handy!

I've promoted three of my stories, but frankly I'm getting kind of tired seeing my own stuff there everytime I log in I noticed that the promotion period is like a month or something... I think thats too long.. it should only be for like 2 days or something, that way there would at least be a rotation of new stories all the time.

a MONTH? We will never see some stories. That's WAY too long. A week is too long.....now my small ***** is turning into a big *****!

yeah i just went and checked...its 30 days.. thats WAY too long.. i dont think i'll be promoting my stories anymore now i kind of wish i hadnt done the THREE that i did. oh well. live and learn. i really think that ADMIN should shorten that to just a couple days. no more than 3.

It's okay, but I would rather see my short story up there becuase it was good enough to be up there, not because I paid for it to be up there!
