Thanks for the congrats... we've named him Aidyn Drake Weaver. We're pretty excited, especially because we lost our first one so early in the pregnancy.
The full-length one I was talking about before is called "Kings 2: Diplomacy." That's right, it's a sequel, but it's not like I was capitalizing on something successful just cause I could. It was my plan on along for the story to be three movies long. The films are in the noir style and character studies. It mostly revolves around two brothers, sons of a mob boss, who are rivals. In the beginning of the first film, "Kings: Hit and Run", we are thrown in after the death of their father and the younger son, Randall, inherits the family business. This enrages the older son, Samuel, and he puts a hit out on his brother who also happens (ironically) to be a hitman. Mercedes Masterson, is the detective following the trail of bodies and is somehow connected (though, not happy about it) to Samuel. She is offered a bribe to keep Samuel in the loop and she accepts the bride of the first film by giving Samuel a heads up of Randall's whereabouts. It ends with a showdown between the brothers and in the end Randall passes everything off to Samuel and spares his life. Randall also gives up being a hitman, at the request of his ex-girlfriend. The second film picks up about a year to two after the end of the first film and the two brothers have gotten themselves off the hook for their crimes (again) and Detective Masterson becomes a vigilante in an attempt to bring down Samuel, because she can't live with the guilt of her choice in the first film. Samuel has ruled his "kingdom" poorly and he has been overpowered by rival family and is now in hiding and on a hit list. Randall is trying to make a new life for himself, a clean start, but obviously knows little about doing that. He has accepted a job of being a middle man for drug deals. And I don't really want to say more... right now. This message is getting fiercely long.
Here is a link that has trailers, clips and even the first film. Let me know what you think.
