Given the right budget and the right amount of artistic freedom, here's my formula for a multi-million dollar summer blockbuster:

Explosions, lots of them, peppered throughout the movie even at random times. A baby sneezes, explosion. The audience finds out who really is working for the C.I.A, explosion. A character gets out of bed, explosion.

The credits roll...explosion.

In between the giant balls of flame would be dialog, which would all be uttered in one word sentences. "Drive", "Duck", "Nice", "Dead", "Meatloaf". If it can't be said in one word under three syllables, then it doesn't need saying.

Computer Graphics would be used sparingly, but in the most needed moments. A person opens the door. This should be done with Computer Graphics. The audience has seen a thousand regular doors on film before, let's give them one made of computer magic. Call in Industrial Lights and Sound for my door knob turning sequence. Explosion. As for my final scene where a robotic elephant is thrown from the Empire State Building? That will have to actually be done on location, using an actual robotic elephant.

The story would tug at the heart strings and the bowel strings.

The plot would be thick like a seven layered burrito, the bottom most layer being the crustiest and the one where it is revealed to the audience that the actual bad guy is not a bad guy, and that they the audience are the actual bad guys, going home feeling guilty and dejected.

My ultimate movie would be one with an abrupt ending. The hero is in a climactic battle with the main villain, they are fighting for their lives after two hours of back and forth storyline, the hero is about to foil the villains master scheme when suddenly the villain pulls a gun he had hidden and shoots the hero dead. The credits roll at that point and the audience leaves bewildered at this anti hollywood formula. Man that would be funny, Im so sick of invulnerable heroes in sequels these days: die hard 4 sucked ass, and i just saw indiana jones 4, how is he more athletic in this one than the original movies? grrr

yeah i got the impression of micheal bay there too lol

eesh i have to say that i actually liked the newest die hard, the only one that sucked to me was part 2. i have no desire to see the new indiana jones. ... a old guy like that shouldnt be stealing things, it gives out a wrong vibe.

i would like to see a movie kind of like road warrior, a postapocalyptoc setting and all, but with zombies (big suprise, huh? lol) and make it kind of like the Fallout computer games. and oh yeah, the bad guy has to win. thats the best when that happens. i want to see a realistic hero, too. not one that always wants to save the day and what not, heheh lets see a stoner out in the postapocalyptic world, battling off mutated mosquitos with a blow torch, now that would be funny.
the tagline for the movie would be
"How far would you travel for a Joint?"
or something like that

"Battling off mutated mosquitos with a blow torch" I would seriously pay to see that (as long as george lucas doesnt direct)

Is it possible to double blow up an explosion? With explosive explosives? During a gun battle? With explosive bullets? I reckon it happens in The Rock (1996) Director: Michael Bay
