Horror films 9 Months, 2 Weeks ago

I have been looking for a film that will truly frighten me. I have yet to see one that makes this requirement. Any suggestions?

Unfortunately this movie hasn't been distributed...It's called 'the devil and daniel webster,' it's a remake and casts Jennifer love hewitt as the devil...that thought completely ruined the Bible for me.

Just to clarify a few things, the films that came closest to scaring me were The Grudge (American remake), The Exorcist, and Halloween (original, not the remake).
Actually, The Grudge got to me the most. That little boy Toshio creeps me out! Something about pale boys with large eyes and a gaping mouth really disturbs me.
Maybe I should mention some of my fears. Spiders, heights, parasites (especially those from the Amazon), having an extra-terrestrial implantation (organic or synthetic), ghosts (especially Japanese ones), and having someone in my room while I sleep without knowing it.
Yup; I messed up with this post.

Firstly im a big girls blouse when it comes to horror.
I enjoyed dog soldiers (its a b movie but good).
Deliverance is another good film, not relly horror but lots of blood.

There's not a lot of good scary stuff out there. Poltergeist scared the s*#t out of me when I was younger and is the leading reason that my generation hates clowns (yes I am dating myself), but to watch it now, it doesn't really scare me anymore. Maybe we should write something and distribute it. The problem is....most books that are scary don't translate well into film because the horror is in what we envision. Different for everyone
