Doesnt the girl sneak into the room Nevile is held hostaged in and gives him some poison to take?

I thought the story was pretty good but it seemed to just be rushed halfway through.

The movie stunk, the book was good. I thought the ending sucked as well however in the book. What a crappy ending. The movie was not even the slightest resemblance to the book...terrible in my opinion.

yeah she did give him poison, but I got pissed because.. I mean, the guy freaking SURVIVED three YEARS without getting himself killed.. complaining the whole time about how he should just 'go outside' then at the end the 'new society' just barges in and takes him to be killed?! I get irony, but come on. it did just seem like he got tired of writing it and ended it too quickly.

Yeah, thats what I meant by rushed. It had so many possiblities.

You know, this is funny that your brought up I Am Legend. I'm in the process of writing a spoof of that called I Am Famous.
