in south texas there are two seasons, summer and winter - summer typically lasts about 350 days and winter about 15...

last two years we got totally cheated out of winter but right now it's somewhere around the early forties and spring is happening next thursday...

funny thing that global warming...

kinda makes me a little angry from time to time, texas weather... i got a leather duster i've been wanting to wear for the last ten years, but it never seems to get cold enough.

Yeah we get hot weather and hotter weather. We did freeze last year for that week, remember Tarhead? I couldn't even get my car out of the driveway. This year the coldest it has been were those two mornings when it was 30..and that one day that it never got over 35. That was the day I had to drive to Kerrville for TWC training. I was hoping that I didn't get stuck in Kerrville or Boerne!

Last night, and you guys will think this is weird and Tarhead may or may not have gotten the same thing (weather around here is a little weird), but we got some rain. I know THAT's not weird, but what is weird is that it didn't rain straight water...it rained mud. Everything is covered with a layer of silt this morning. It is really gross. Now we need a rain to wash away what the rain brought!

My mother always asks me how come I never open my windows here (she lives in sunny Southern California). I tell her because there is a period in South Texas of about 2 hours a year whent the weather is tolerable. Today it is 49 this morning but I'll bet that it'll be in the mid 70's this afternoon. Yesterday it was 73 in the morning and 62 in the afternoon. How's that for backwards?

Yeah Cotulla is not known for its massive rain! So yesterday I waited about 45 minutes for the laser wash just to get the damn mud off my car..yuck!!! I'll have to take it to really be washed this weekend, and it's not because I am a clean freak, far from it...it's cause I can't open the car door without becoming a mess. You should see the front door to my office...I am going to have to get a roll of paper towels and the windex out here in a minute just so people can get through the door!
