So my insomnia was getting the better of me last night and I was thinking about this website...what a nerd. Hey, it's better than the accounting that normally runs through my mind! Anyway, I had a thought and I don't know how many of you think it is a good idea or a bad idea or even if anyone wants to play along with me....

I like to write (duh, or I wouldn't be here) but I am so busy working that I don't have a chance much to let the ideas flow. Yes, I work several jobs and raise 2 kids, 3 if you count the 40 year old one. I thought it might be kinda nifty for us to have some sort of different prompt to write about each week. Would be interesting to see the ideas that we come up with, and very interesting to see what different stories we come up with.

So how many are game to play along? Who wants to come up with the first idea? I don't mind coordinating whos turn it is when to come up with a prompt....I just don't want to be first, because if I had any ideas, I would already have written a story about it! Let me know.

Also, please let me know if you think this is a crappy idea and that I am just blowing wind in that area between my ears

Its a good idea , i did it in writing class.One we did was to write about if you were taller than a tree, see The Tall Man on my profile.It be good if we could get alot of people involved, Not just the usual suspects.

Fair enough..I understand about being overwhelmed. I work full time, have two part time jobs, an a passion party consultant, an 8 year old, a 3 month old, a 40 year old, and just graduate with my AA, and am trying to find an online college to get my BS in Accounting. So I know all about being crazy!!!

So with this writing prompt. It's going to be like "Write a horror story that takes place in X setting with Y characters.", right?

I assume that you will be deciding that. But let's say someone ends up winning this little game. Does that mean they get to choose the next prompt?

Not a game..and I don't think that it has to be that specific. I think more like either come up with a story that starts or ends a certain way. Or what would happen if this were to be..something like that. Not really sure, that's why I want ideas from others. But no, I am NOT coming up with the first idea! I think if I know that you are going to play along, then I tell you, hey Robert, we'll write on your idea on the week of March 14th (or whatever). Does this make sense?
