FIRE!!!
well not really, but i thought it would get somebody's attention if they saw it on the home screen under forums...
i have a plan (of course).
i have been putting off writing a trilogy for the last, hmm... ten years. not so much because of the complexity of writing as the contest of publishing.
so i need to get over the publishing hump.
i have walked into a self-publishing site and am going to experiment with the do-it-yourself book kit - by chucking out a collection of short stories.
so... if you follow my demented works, would you please be so kind as to list for me your three favorites?
i want to front load the book with stories that i know will catch the eye - then fill in the blanks afterwards.
i would really appreciate your assistance.
smile!

Is that on par with you can pick your friends and you can pick your nose, but you can't pick your friend's nose?
Hahahaha...seriously, I have liked most of the stuff you have written, but I will go through and pick my favs. So far I know that Room 1135 series, and call me crazy, but I really loved your She said poem. I know that I have read more of your stuff, but my brain is kinda mushy right now. Whoever said that having a baby didn't change you was nuts!

Silence is golden
Room 1135 series
I could only pick 2, though I have yet to read all your stories. Good luck with the publishing hump!

how dead? 8 Months, 3 Weeks ago
|
|
|
i spend a lot of television time on the history channel and national geographic...
ever been to a funeral?
i may be wrong, but it seems as though the focus is on a box with a (ex)person inside it. if you, while everybody was departing, took a shovel and started digging the box up - what would the reaction be?
yeah - i think you're right... people will get a little bent with you and probably break the shovel handle over your head.
how about a week later?
two weeks?
one year?
so then, here is the question: when is it okay to dig somebody up examine them - then remove them to wherever we please, in the name of science and discovery?
and what makes that action okay?
if martha and tom were married for sixty years and wanted to spend eternity together, and we dug up tom and carted him off to a museum on outer mongolia... then what?
what about what martha and tom, and what they wanted? or are they just dead people? and once again, how dead does a person have to be before what they wanted or wished does not matter?
five years?
ten years?
and what of a person that KNOWS the the person that is being dug up FIRMLY believed that the condition of his body and the condition of the place he is buried - DIRECTLY RELATES to the condition of his heavenly state -and then DIGS HIM UP ANYWAY?
yeah, we could argue that we christians and the person we dug up was nuts. but christianity is faith based, just as the beliefs of the pharoahs was/is.
what if the pharoahs were right about the afterlife?
and that was how the story, "child in the garden" came about.
smile!
