I know some of these suggestion may require a back-end hack or two, but I hope the admins will consider them. I hope others will also post some of theirs!

1- Sequels. We should be able to define, when we submit or edit a story, which story it follows. Then the reader is automatically presented links to the other sequels while reading the story.

2- Picture enlargement. Clicking on a graphic of a story should open the picture in a full size window or tab.

3- Special Print mode. A special print function of a print-friendly version of the story for easy printing without the whole webpage printing.

4- Picture formatting for poetry. When you submit a picture the picture tends to "intrude" into the poem's place and ruin its formatting. If this can be fixed especially for the poem-type submission then that would be nice.

5- multiple genres. Some stories fit into more than one gernes. How about letting the user define two genres? or even three?

6- Search is a bit wonky. Words should be treated as such. Right now is searches for any string that matches the word. So entering "nero" will get you a story with "generous".

And an option to restrict the search to the title or the metadata instead of the contents?

I totally agree with you, also, I know that the publicities based on words in a story are paying for the site and all... But it messes up completely some stories as it lapses on the other words (I'm using firefox) and sometimes I can't read an entire sentence cause its missing key-words...

Also, I'm seconding you for the multiple genres for stories, narrowing it to only one is sometimes really not cool at all... Always And Never, I put it in Romance, but it would more likely fit into another sub-genre. Anyways, cheers!

Agree with the above and would add the need to increase the size of the list of new stories posted, just way too small for the numer of stories posted daily.

hmmm.... either that or hard-limit submissions from any one author to 3 per day? Also... maybe the list can be made scrollable to double its size?

Again...just suggestions that I think eventually the admin should look into.

also, the way vote counting is restricted? Maybe hit conting should be also "smarter". I get a bit embarassed when I click on some story of mine for editing or checking and it increments the hits.

So the author's account (and machine, through cookies) should not account for more than a single hit methinks.

I think it would be good to have some league tables for each genre and then one overall.

and we should also get 20 shillings and a cupcake with every submission... but no really those are good ideas you got, lets make this a democracy, I say yay
