The score to your short stories? 9 Months, 1 Week ago
If you would associate a song to one of your Short Story, what would it be and why?

For myself, I'd say that After The Movies by Cursive really fits well to the latest story that I wrote Always And Never... I dunno, it's a story I had in mind for quite some time and I even thought of writing it for a screenplay at first and I that song inspired me a bit.

"And I kissed you one night, as forever... In the movies well they never had it so good...One moment, so infinite, on soft wet lips..."

What's yours fellow writers?

Obviously Hotel California by the Eagles matches with my first short story. Kiss From a Rose by Seal with Abduction. Enter Sandman by Metallica with Nothing to Fear; It's only a dream. Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata with Weeping Weapon. Gloomy Sunday goes with Gloomy Sunday, AKA "Hungarian Suicide Song." I guess you could put Pink Floyd's Echoes with She is Out There, gives it a kind of spacey feel. Anything by Red Army Choir will go with 0900 HRS, especially The Sacred War, Farewell to Slavianka, and The Red Army is Strongest. The Cars Hiss By My Window by The Doors works out fine with Apathy and Writer's Block. Makes it feel as if one is bored.

And for Perfection, Also Sprach Zarathustra, made famous by the film, 2001: A Space Odyssey.

I've thought about the idea of pairing songs with stories for a while, so I already knew what would go with what.

Awesome, I thought about integrating a song into a short story for a while, can't seem to figure out "how" to get the best effect so far. But I'm glad to realize I'm not alone writing music while I write to set the mood! Cheers mates!

When I saw this question posted yesterday, I stopped to think. For me, being a dancer, music strikes me different. I can't listen to the radio without thoughts of different dances coming into my head. Sometimes it's hell! But I don't associate music with writing. I know that essentially deep down, writing and dancing are the same: a mode of self expression, but it doesn't work that way for me. By the way, does anyone want to go with me to take Salsa Dancing Lessons?
