excellent read. I favor stories with a vintage touch... I just read that story for the first time about a week ago. I visit bookstores and pick up collections. I think this was in an old college standard. faust was included, madam bovary, and a few others. odd that it would be mentioned a week after I read it...

the norton anthology of world masterpieces - fourth edition - that's where i read it...

bought the book at goodwill for fifty cents.

Mmm... "The Mermaid Chair" by Sue Monk Kidd or "Sea Glass" by Anita Shreve. Also a big fan of "A Farewell To Arms". Yum.

just finished "the eyes of the dragon" by stephen King,... very good.
just started "I Am Legend" by richard matheson...so far so good.
