my mom was a huge elvis and everly brothers fan (as well as kingston trio), and when we were in the philippines (mid-sixties) we had the opportunity to go to a everly brothers concert.

i'm a little hesitant to comment!

it is interesting how this poem affected everyone; it gives a little insight into their realities.

one of the great things about comments, is that after reading a comment - especially on a piece like this - you can then cruise over to their profile and read their stories knowing how they feel about say, true love; and see their stories from their perspectives. following comments allows us to create a true profile of the folks commenting - cool stuff that.

you poem was short, sweet, and simple - just the way i like them, i'm poetry challenged...

i read this with a smile on my face starting at the first paragraph and it stayed there until i got to the end.

this is wonderful reading my friend.

i did want to add, that i also think that beautiful women should be able to sign their time cards with invisible ink. so, if you manage to get a petition together to pursue that course - you can count on my signature.

i read this and was taken by the style and the poetry. then i read the comments and reread the poem without the lighthouse.

i originally thought that sorrow's words were a little harsh, but then i wondered how the poem would do in standard format. i decided that the image does take away from the strength of your words - a bit of a distraction.

that being said, and keeping in mind that i don't know the bottom of a poem from the top, i'm now going to contradict myself and say that i really enjoyed your doubly creative addition to poetry.

the combination of visual and text is a hard thing to develop - and i always appreciate hard work.

and now that i've confused everybody, i'll shut up.

i am going to agree and disagree with the other comments here andi.

stories are what the writers write - as long and as short as the writer wants it to be.

if somebody spotted anna and asked what the deal was with her - this is the perfect answer.

would it be nice if it were longer? maybe, maybe not... the fact that folks want it to be longer is a good indication that they liked story, and want more... but, for me, trying to stretch something beyond what i intended doesn't always produce the product i originally wanted.

i think the title works two fold as the story and the character are both contained.
