About Myself: the mysterious recipe to having your stories read: write - read - comment - rate - rinse and repeat. . .

keep in mind that if you don't take your work seriously, nobody else will either.

i'm am in the re-read, edit, repost mode. so, you're going to see some reruns - sorry 'bout that.

if you good folks find typos - grammar smackers - and format strangeness, please don't hesitate to quick message me or drop a comment...

Title article: Existentialist mime story
Date: 2008-09-24 02:20:24
existentialist mime story
great narration, and a pretty tight construction makes this really easy to read.

thought it was interesting that the the coffee shop owner replaced a mime (read object) with different objects...

didn't get the melancholy feel though - i must be a little twisted...

it came across as just a little humorous in a quiet sorta way...

Title article: Tell Me That You Love Me
Date: 2008-09-24 02:12:18
tell me that you love me...
i have always been intrigued by sir will, not so much by he himself as the era that he rose in.

back then, without the benefit of television - words were all you had. AND you had to write those words so that anyone could say them - and they would hold true.

i've always thought the writings of those times were much like painting a flower and causing it to bloom...

this piece has become my favorite writing experience, i think.

i read: Silently I cry out to thee to carry me away to the place thy soul resides, to hear you breathe words unto me that speak of time everlasting

and: My heart, my lungs, my soul are consumed with words to turn thee to my side, but a moment's gaze into the beauty of thine eyes erases all.

and i wonder where the hell i was when i wrote this, 'cause it ain't my style...

i like all of the things i post here, and i appreciate them for what they are - but i'm pretty proud of this little piece...

the comments made me feel all the more warm and fuzzy.

Title article: Her Eyes the Stars
Date: 2008-09-23 11:11:15
her eyes
well, being the late guy to gettin on the bus let me say this about that - 'what they said'

everything about it was good. best appreciated by me is the lack of graphics...

Title article: Ashes (Reconstructed)

ashes
i've always been a fan of poetry that doesn't cling to the rhyme factor.

rhyme is nice - but more often than not, it limits the writer's vocabulary... and (for me) poetry without rhyme as it's base reads with so much more feeling.

this was a very nice piece to read - and very straight forward in a crooked sort of way.

definitely one of your best.

Title article: The Purple Beneath, Chapter 1

purple beneath 1
good framework max.

laughed at the poison ivy thing - i've had my own stupid human moments with gargantuan vines of it on my trees in maryland a hundred years or so ago...

found out - i am not affected by it. thank god, cause i was surely covered in it.

very interested in seeing what direction chapter 2 takes. if johnny shows up - i'm gonna jump off of - well maybe a short step or something...

Title article: Please, Come Home. Please.
Date: 2008-09-23 02:21:17
please, come home
well, i made it to the bottom - but i have to admit, as soon as i found out what was happening, i had to go into the scan mode...

allergic to sexual violence and all.

very well written sir carter!

mullet masonics
this tale just goes to show that there is always something.

its just that the focus is usually on the reverse...

very entertaining!

she said...
yeah, i'm afraid i have. all of my music starts backwards - i get hooked on a tune, then the mood of the tune makes the lyrics appear.

thanks for the comments folks!

Title article: Run Katy Run
Date: 2008-09-22 12:18:12
run katy run
wow, got halfway through and saw where it was going and couldn't finish.

my little one is a step child - and her bio father just got out of federal prison. lewdness with minor - one of her best friends (10 years old)...

although her father put an exclamation point on it, i have never been able to sit through a movie or read a book that included sexual violence towards an adult, or any type of violence towards a minor.

which means - you wrote this one well.

Title article: Acorns Don't Fall Far
Date: 2008-09-22 12:11:14
acorns don't fall
rites of passage...

interesting perspective piece - strangely conflicting also, since i've been on both sides of the coin.

back in my day, my dad would drive away saying, 'hope mister cool has a ride home from this unsanctioned adventure - it's a long walk'

now with all of the silent dangers lurking, something like that could leave you without a child...

but there's always, "you're a tuff guy, all grown up and manly, figure it out yourself. i'm going fishing..." - what goes around...

fun read!

I suppose anybody who can come up with tarhead mugwump can also come up with a phrase about squirrels coming from behind nuts.
I have no idea what it means.
Please elucidate......
