i guess there's always two sides to the proverbial coin, and this works both directions...

i tell my young ones that you have to dump your database and treat every relationship as brand new.

in cases like this, there is only the future to reflect the past.

how funny... well the story is too.

but i was thinking that you were thinking - 'i need to compress my stories a bit' - and then you got the reverse reaction!

i'd let you dip into my happy medium jar (oreo cookie canister), but i'm afraid (greedy) that its about empty...

the front end of this story was really entertaining! i thought the end was also appropriate. it did feel a bit like falling off of the curb on a bike - but to be honest, i don't know how I would have handled putting the two together.

i think that folks tend to get the forgiveness thing backwards

forgiving a person is not about giving that person a ticket to paradise - we can't do that...

forgiving a person is all about the person doing the forgiving.

its about letting go of that thing that's been eating at you since the transgression came to pass...

anger is a burden that destroys the angry.

the only person that can forgive a 'bad' person in a way that there is any value - is the bad person - and that is a tall wall to climb over - in fact - its pretty much impossible...

*gets down off of soap box and heads to kitchen to eat everything he can find.

good job pilgrim.

well jordan, its all pretty much been said already - so i'll go straight to the important stuff...

i enjoyed the perspective of the story, and the character build... the last line was expected but it still ended the story as a great closer.

i think if you take the advice above and throw a little more time into this you could create quite a piece.
